Swans approached this the right way but still a bit close. They'll know AFL house wants an all Melbourne blockbuster so they need to come out hard in this half and maintain possession, take the umpires right out of the equation.

Umpiring terrible. Two of the 50s our way were absolute rubbish, never usually paid. But also a bunch of frees missed both ways, and those that are getting paid are soft as.

Feels like a game where both teams feel hard done by, and that's when you know the umpiring isn't great.

Thankfully Swans have been clearly dominant so far, so probably hasn't influenced the result toooo much. Will be a shame if it ends up close because it will be a talking point.
Good assessment. You don’t want to see the umpires have such an impact. I think the biggest individual errors have gone the Swans way but there have been more than a few errors that have also gone against the Swans.

Look I might whine about the umpiring...

But I will give credit where it's due.

SYDNEY are ****ing amazing. I hate it because they really are. Making us play like absolute flubs.

Who has been worse, De Goey or Josh Daicos? Both are big time players...

I always wondered what would happen if a team actually planned for degoey being in the middle, as opposed to a sideshow who sometimes wanders through.
Guess we now know

When the Collingwood player jumped all over Papley and didn’t touch the ball, should that have been a free to Papley?

There’s been some tight calls both ways (and I won’t defend the quality of the umpiring) but I think it is hard to say the performance so far has been corrupt.

Nah he went to spoil, allowed to do that if intention is there, Papley just playing for a free

*ing dog campaigner umpires, I swear one will wear the wrath if these campaigner decisions that swing games
wrath asura GIF

The frightening thing is they are the pies fans with money who can afford to travel.

I'd say it's more likely the ones that don't work or have a family.

I say that to make myself feel better about my empty bank account. ;)
