Bahahaha.

I've never seen us lose a GF to Carlton and I'm in my mid 30's but go ahead and dust your VHS copy of those games off and enjoy it.
They are digitized now.

Nonsense. Were tipped for bottom 4 and gave their fans an exhilarating ride this season falling agonisingly short against both grand finalists.

Meanwhile the blues were in the top 8 all years and not once but twice *ed up winning the game that’d get them finals.

Talk about choking.

Pies fans should be proud of what their club did this season.
I guess everyone have different expectations and the way they see things.

I would not be proud of my club until the win the flag. There is no reward for 2nd and 3rd place. You go all the way otherwise it is just another wasted season. Nothing is guaranteed in the future.

I’m sure Pies Supporters don’t want to hear anything right now and it’s easy for me being lucky at the end but

I’m not like a lot of other supporters who love seeing Collingwood not get the chocolates etc but they are easily the team to watch over the next three years. Momentum and belief all on display. Great coaching and Cox was a big out surprisingly (perhaps equally Reid) but they are super fit and have so much upside. Could have just as easily won it as the result didn’t end up that way.

Moments in games and they are in every game.

They should start the next season with incredible belief. Congratulations to a great season (unexpected) the loss will drive the next season nd those Daicos guys are only going to get better.

Commiserations but heads up there is a lot to like in the future.

Collingwood lost because of the free kick to Papsmearly, which was in fact a free kick to collingwood because Papley had two hands in the back.
Does the hands in the back rule still exist?

You know a class act
when he readily lines up at centre link for his cheque, goes to no interstate games due to his limited finances (Can’t afford bus or train) then bags another club.
Hahahahaha this is so far from the truth you couldn’t possibly imagine - but enjoy your fantasy land. Given that it’s your imagination, how about you imagine yourself winning the grand final next week? Ciao!

Nope. Umpiring clearly favoured you.

How the **** was that a mark to Mihochek when clearly lost control and dropped it?
Ump blew whistle super early that was ridiculous.
You can only ride that type of luck for so long.
Still, it made for a fun finish and beautiful end.

and the last time collingwood beat carlton in a GF?? Betcha dunno... 5 mins to google and get back to me.

The term ancient history comes to mind.

You are literally talking VFL. Most of the people on this site weren’t alive then.

Not saying they don’t stand in the record books, just saying once salary caps and national game came in, Carlton haven’t fired a shot.
This "ancient history" pretty much defines our rivalry and is intrinsically woven into the fabric of both clubs. You can't just simply set it aside.

And your last statement is nonsense - Carlton still won a flag and had a few GF appearances since that happened. Poor management and leadership has been the cause of our woes, not the introduction of the national game. Right now our team has plenty of upside, they just need a good sports psychologist.

Not sure what is with all the Carlton supporters, not sure Voss did much better than previous years(multiple coaches) and how many top 10 picks, Well done to Sydney Umps didn't cost us game the first few minutes did with the 3 or 4 goal head start we gave them, So well done to them.
You can't be serious? Every goal you got in the first half was from a free kick

Focus on making a final first.

Has Carlton managed to build a good list since the AFL stripped away your under the table paper bag list build strategy?

The unfortunate thing after tin arsing the whole season and pulling wins out of your arse is that you're going to get a really hard fixture. They won't finish top 4 next season, take it to the bank.
How lucky have the Bombers been for the past 20 years?

Bad luck Pies - I rated you the second biggest threat behind the Swans, and I wasn't wrong. Lots to look forward to, have a break and then head down knuckle up. Crisp excellent again, and the Daicos boys showing up when needed. Cox was having an impact before he went off, so I hope his injury isn't too serious.

Swans probably learnt the problem with taking the foot off in a final. Lucky to get out of gaol. However, they showed their best is sublime. Losing Reid didn't help them either. Honorable mention to Rowbottom, who I thought was excellent early and won some crucial one on ones.

Big week next week, hoping for a cracker game 🙂👍
