Essendon are a bottom 8 side which has benefited from a very cushy draw to date. We should be all over them as long as we haven’t switched off during the bye and don’t come out slow.

I’m sure we’re due for a down week at some point but in reality, this should be a 5+ goal win.

You can say the same thing about Port. 7 of those 12 wins were against bottom 8 sides too.

We’ve still won 6/8 games against current top 8 sides. Should have been 7/8 until we lost the plot in the last qtr against Adelaide after having a decent lead but not the point.

While still yet to play a number of the bottom 8 sides like GC, Carlton, GWS and Freo.

I think Essendon are building nicely and winning the games they should be. All I’m saying is that I don’t think they are a top 8 side and that given the draw, they are above their real position. and we should be able to account for them relatively easily if we continue to play how we have.

After all, 5 of Essendons 8 wins have been against the teams currently in the bottom 5 positions on the ladder.

Where as teams Essendon are 1/4 against the top 8. We’ve played twice as many top 8 teams so far indicating it has been a relatively easy draw for the bombers to date.

Of course I’ll have egg on my face now if you get up but oh well!

The game swung in Ports favour when he took out Ridley we had trouble stoping Dixon and Finlayson. Rioli is lucky he's not playing becuase I reckon a few our guys haven't forgot what he did

Cant forget we kicked 20 behinds in that game from 16 more inside 50s. Controlled the game but not the score board unfortunately.
