If we persist with Balta forward then whoever gets Gibcus as the 2nd defender is going to have a very favourable match up.

Gibcus is a talent but he's still undersized and only played 18 games due to injury.

You'd back one of Carltons 2 big forwards to kick 5+ on him at this stage

Not promoting gambling in any way but $1.40 Carlton is a gift.

Carlton by a fair margin.

Carlton 46 - Curnow - 5
Curious as to how Curnow has gone against Richmond, 11 goals in 7 matches which is a lot worse than I would have thought. Granted he is a much improved player, but what was interesting was his 1 free kick against us. What is more interesting is, in one more game (8) against Collingwood, he has 18 free kicks! How do you get 18x the amount of frees against different sides. I applaud any footballer who can get a free against Collingwood.

Why do Richmond fans spend so much time talking about umpiring?

Because Dylan Grimes is one of the best lockdown defenders of our time and Darcy Moore simply can't defend him and never has. For whatever reason Moore has been Curnows bunny for years now, even pre knee injuries.

Well it's not about umpiring per say, more about the anomaly of those figures, just an observation. We have been at the bottom of the free kick ladder since about 1850 so perhaps we are a little touched.
Then maybe you should focus on your coaching and players?

Pies use a couple of defenders to hold and scrag Curnow to free up Moore to take a grab, doesn't always work.

Hard to say. Both teams 1st halves were pathetic and wrestled back momentum in the 2nd half. Lynch, Nankervis and Dusty are huge ins for us.

I think it'll be close.

No it won't.

Carlton will pull away to win by 7 goals.

You guys are awful and it's comical reading just how out of touch the Richmond supporter base currently is.

Carlton received 18 free kicks in total and Collingwood with 22. I'm not really sure what you are saying, but Curnow did not receive 18 free kicks.
Collingwood folk will tell you he received 40 free kicks in that game
