Meh I’m not really an ump complainer. But then again I’ve never seen an ump decision cost us a flag.

At best it will be a close hard fought first half, before Carlton put the foot down and win by about 6 goals. At worst , Blues put them to the sword and lead by 50 + at half time before settling into cruise control for a second half snorefest.

This game for me just highlights how much opening round didn't do it for me, feels like this is the season start and have excitement I didn't have last week, even though I think we'll lose.

Just remember although you came back you were pretty shocking as well in the first half.
We had everything going against us in the first round.
3/4 best players out interstate at a ground we pretty much never win at against our old coach and playing a brand new gamestyle. It will be a closer game than you think, I wouldn’t be surprised if we pull it off.

We played at Gabba where no side has beaten Lions for 23 matches.
We played a team who lost LY’s GF x 7 pts.
We played without Weitering, Walsh, Martin, Marchbank, Motlop, Silvagni & 3/4 of the game without Docherty.
We came from 46 points down in 20 minutes of game time.
I think you’d be very surprised if they pulled it off!

What if it’s Carlton by 1 point? Not with Richmond choking the lead (I can see the humour if that happened), but Richmond trailing by 7 points and then kicking the last goal with only about 3 seconds to go.
I feel like that’ll deflate neutrals supporting contender clubs like Collingwood and Brisbane given Carlton would’ve won yet another close one.
1 thing is for sure, regardless of results, a set of memberships will get microwaved
