Wow, to think that 44 players can run around like mad dogs covering hundreds of kms under tackling pressure for 30 minutes, and an umpires can make that decision for the softest free kick initiated by the “victim” and give a goal away.

That one reminds me of the free kick Stevic gave against Port Adelaide in the second quarter of the 2014 prelim against Hawthorn. Along with our wastefulness in front of goal, a bull**** decision like that turned the momentum completely.

AFL needs to start again with the umpiring.
Make it a defined career path for recently retired players.
Enough of these part timers who have never played a game, and have no feel whatsoever for a combative sport.
I seriously wonder whether the STH American betting cartels have infiltrated the umpiring department…some of the decisions are blatant corruption.

Coaches always say "If we could bottle momentum we'd be rich" but it's pretty easy, if the ump pays 4 free kicks in a row that's a good momentum stopper.

The holding free kick on Daicos earlier happens 20 times a game, probably should be a free to open up the game but they don’t pay it for anyone else.

Mate you can't even touch Daicos. The most protected species in the game. He's way too good to get cheap shit frees from the umps as it is. Knew straight away they were going to pay it.
