Those complaining about the sicily one are somehow annoyed that Maynard didn't get a free kick paid. Which is really inside out logic.

Maybe instead of focusing on what the umpire should have done - we should focus on what the players should have done - which is smother or tackle instead of bump.

There's hardly any scenario where the bump is the best option.

Regardless what we want is consistency. Either pay them all the time or don’t but don’t pay some sometimes and others not at all.
