The Hawks are in ripping form and their turnaround under Mitchell recently has been like a revival of their season. They looked destined for bottom 4 only 6 weeks ago, and now are alive in the finals race.

In an ordinary game I would be tipping the Hawks here, but in Dusty's 300th there's an obvious team lifter and motivational boost, and that might be enough to get the Tigers over the line.

I'm going to say it still hinges on if Tom Lynch plays. He won't be at his best first game back, but he provides so much structure for us as we have a genuine dangerous marking target inside 50. I think if he plays we will get up, if he misses it'll be tough but we're still a chance.

Tipping the Tigers by 6, with the expectation Lynch plays.

If Tom Lynch plays, Tigers are favourites. If he doesn't Hawks are favourites. See what happens when the teams are announced

I wish I’d never seen that dusty promo narrated by Jack Riewoldt. I can only cringe so hard. This is why dusty doesn’t do media and I don’t blame him.

Weird to say this and neither are contenders, but this could be game of the round. Both sides form has been better of late, and I just sense it could be close. Or the Hawks blow a lacklustre Tigers out of the water. But I sense the Tigers will be competitive at least and the margin will be below 20 either way.

We’ll win by 30+

Lynch is pretty much always in great form after an injury for some reason.

Dustys 300th will make the rest of the boys will put so much pressure on the ball it might explode.

Hawks form seems fake to me. Who’s gonna destroy us. Chol?
You are going to be 'destroyed' by an energetic young team with even performances across the field.

Curious to know why you feel the form seems 'fake'?

In the past 6 weeks we have:
Beaten GWS (by 6) at UTAS
Beaten Adelaide (by 27) at MCG
Beaten Brisbane (by 25) at Marvel
Lost to Port (by 1 point after leading by 40) at Adelaide Oval
Beaten St Kilda (by 5) at UTAS
Beaten Western Bulldogs (by 7) at Marvel

It isn't like we have played North and West Coast in this run.
We went into every one of those matches, except maybe the Adelaide game, as the underdog.

As long as Meek is able to come back in and compete evenly with Nank, I think we will come away with the win. Without a strong bodied ruckman our clearance game might suffer too much.

I do think this is going to be a close game, 1 or 2 goals in it at the end, but Dusty's milestone won't be enough.

That was definitely a troll post.

Historically we struggle against Richmond for whatever reason.

Lynch is a big inclusion considering how he usually performs against us, however no full forward has really gotten a hold of Sam Frost yet this season. I'd be hoping we can restrict him to 2-3 goals max.

The only thing we haven't done during this recent run or form is put a team to the sword on the scoreboard. Had chances against Brisbane and Adelaide but the final result flattered the opposition.

Not sure what the result this Saturday will ultimately tell us.

A close win and it's another tick in that column.
A loss would be understandable considering the emotion of Dusty's 300th, the Tigers recent improvement and historical record against us.

The most telling point would be a big Hawks victory. That would cement this hot streak as fully legitimate as far as 2024 is concerned. To this point, finals hasn't even entered my mind. A big win might change that.

Good win streak that will end eventually like Geelong early in the season.

It’s an anomaly. You aren’t that good a team and wont make finals.
