A much needed Kelly should be returning, Cogs unlikely.
Taylor with another week to get back to his best and a new found weapon using Brent Daniel’s in the middle.
Giants took out one of the form teams last week time hopefully can do the same to the Lions, although would take it as a kindness if they didn’t wait till the final minute.

In round 7 the Giants gave us a 54-point spanking.
It was the Lions worse loss of the season and had them sitting in 13th position on the ladder.
Since then, the Lions have Lost 1 (Hawks by 25) Drawn 1 (Crows) and won 11.

This game is probably the match of the round.
However, there are 4/5 other games that will/could change the top 8 placings.
Both teams looking for top 2 but also the loser could drop from top 4.
Lions playing at home is an advantage.
Not as big as being undefeated at home in 2023.
This year the Lions have won 6 and lost 3 at The Gabba.

I am more hoping that the team get the job done and then move on to the last two games being the Pies and Bombers.
So, hopefully the Lions by 19 points.

Game of the round. My concern is we won't be able to stop Hogan.
We kept Hogan to 1.2 earlier in the year but the Giants still won by 54 points.
As you know the Lions players attitude and overall team performance has improved since then.
Mind you it had to, otherwise we would be still outside the 8.

An important game for both sides and look forward to seeing who gets named in both sides later today.

You mean the guy that was once pushed out of the way by Caleb Daniel?
You obviously haven’t watched the last 8-10 weeks where he’s been great.

Has beaten Witts, Grundy and Marshall over the last 3 weeks.

Genuine AA chance even though I think Xerri gets the nod.
