How are Port so consistently disappointing in finals despite finishing top 2? They finish top 4 very often but you can immediately discount them as contenders.

I think Hinkley's time is up for real now.

What’s the problem? It’s his team…..he knows best…..
Port are sitting down with the SANFL working through rules to benefit Port and Kochead comes out with that litigious wank leading into a finals campaign and you think it’s all good.
🤪🤪🤪
This is the typical leadership this w***er offers, couldn’t happen to a more deserving club

Miers gets all the plaudits (and deservedly so), but I don't think anyone in the team's better than Close in terms of "When he's got it, or he's around when it's in dispute, good things happen."
Yeah, he's a rippa, no fuss, no fanfare, 100 games. Plenty more.

They are flat track bullies while being total pushovers at the same time. It was well known even back in 2022

Cats want to play on at speed and get ball out over the Port forward half game really was awesome to watch. Fast handballs from contested situations and speed that Port couldn’t contain. Masterful performance from the cats!
Yeah, handspeed was very noticable.

Well at least Ken survived to give an after game presser but if Port loses next week he might not survive much longer.

They need to get Butters back but if he was sore enough to get subbed out he would have to be in doubt for next week.

The addition of livewires Dempsey, Mannagh and Humphries - to follow on from Stengle and Holmes in recent years - has allowed us to put a lot more speed on the ball. Close and Miers have the smarts to help knit it all together. Outside of Dangerfield and at times (he runs so hot and cold) Cameron, it's the younger guys or ones entering their prime who are driving that.

Lucky your not a port supporter. You’d have been drawn and quartered by Kane and co.
I never understood why he's so protected. They were always so willing to go straight for the throat of Buckley I'm talking before his last season as coach and the are so willing to die by the sword of Hinkley.

As a cats fan I watch a lot if Geelong.

I'll say this much, we have weaknesses, we might not be that great, we can play poorly. We can be figured out tactically too.

But if the opposition plays a game style that is not hard for us to play against, they are in trouble.

Cats connection is absolutely excellent. They have been very stable and this helps but their connection goes beyond that. They should get found out for sheer class in key areas in the last 2 weeks though.

At least they have won a final in the last few years can’t say the same about Ess

Yeah, Holmes how good, plus, the Port mids don't chase much, once you blokes moved the ball out of the contest, there wasn't much resistance. Huge win, it's woken up all the knuchleheads who thought Geelong were not much chop. I think they are very chop. Very chop chop!

You were doing so well until that RFC indignation burst out at the end like a bursting boil.

Geelong supporters are a lot more cocky now than they were after St Kilda humbled them a few weeks ago.

Lucky for them they played Port tonight and not the Saints.
It's not about you or your irrelevant, pathetic club tonight. We secured top 4 with the win in Perth a week before and then St Kilda had their grand final while they were fighting for 13th.
