Similar vibes before Anzac day, the majority thinking we will battle and wont score.

Never change

Big difference between Melbourne and Essendon

Don't really agree with all the people who reckon our team is so bad that nothing they could do could get with 6 goals of a very average Melbourne side. What I will say is that if we play with effort and don't have one of 'those days' where we just **** everything up from beginning to end, I expect us to win. If we do have one of those days, we'll lose by 5-10 goals

Doesn't really change the point though.
Sorry for being pessimistic when we are 4-7.

FOUR AND ****ING SEVEN.

Ok I'm not sorry.

I'll be there but no one here can have high expectations of this club now, there's no excuses for some of our massive losses this year.

yes
Will be interesting. Everyone is complaining that Bucks isn't a good coach but as soon as he tries something out of the box, it is no good either.
Why not.
Witts in the Ruck, Grundy 3rd man up and Cox fwd.
Far from ideal but who dares wins. I rather get slaughtered for trying something new then lose by trying to play the old way without the personnel to do it.

try a few new setups, try the new kids, otherwise the year IS wasted. If you've emotionally decided on Buckley though, then everything is a justification. Can't say it isn't interesting though.
Either way GWAAAARRNNNA WOODSMEN !!

Not in a great place today. Going to sink some beers, watch and just enjoy the fact there are frivolous and fun things like sport in this world. Have a great day everyone and hug those who matter to you.

Big difference between Melbourne and Essendon
Essendon beat Melbourne!?

It was 22 scoring shots each in rd4, and that was when we were stinking it up and playing putrid football and Melbourne were "flying".

We bring the same hunger for the contest we had against the Lions, Cats n Dogs and we will beat the Dees.

The one silver lining of the likely big loss today, is Eddie might be ever so slightly closer to having the reality of where we sit as a club flash before his eyes.

If it wasn't for our injury list, you might have a point. Now it is just BS.

I'm not confident at all after last week's capitulation. Talk about a complete and utter train wreck :drunk:

Anyway, I digress.

Based on the above, I for no apparent reason other than stupid belief or some might say disbelief, I think the Pies will win.

Pies by 34 points :thumbsu::thumbsu::rainbow::rainbow::footy::footy:;);)

Will be a very close game. Our backline is inexperienced and our biggest weakness especially with big Cox up forward. He could seriously threaten today..

IF Cox takes some marks

Cox seems to play one goodish game out of two or three ordinary games. But he's a smart guy, and is on his 'learning' trajectory. On this basis, he will play well today.

He will have to as he not got much Around Him

Pies by 53.

Expecting out skipper to play an absolute blinder after having his integrity question during the week.

Also expecting young Adam trelo to rebound hard after a not so great game last week.

And finally, expecting our American collossus to wreak havoc on the Melbourne back long.

If we don't win today out spluttering season is well and truly dead in its arse.

Big difference between Melbourne and Essendon

Well Essendon Beat Melbourne but that was early in the Season.

Essendon now Resemble a VFL Team and Dees look very Promising

Any late changes anticipated? Howe was sore and didn't train. Anyone else?

Reid also.

IF Both Reid and Howe are out. We have next to no Rebound out of there and the one's that can are Poor Kicks

Sounds like you want us to lose as this would help an agenda?
Personally I prefer us to win.
