In games I expect us to lose I usually bet on the opposition to win by a margin that I would be pleased to lose by less than. If we lose by less than four goals I'll be happy so it's GWS by 24.5+ for me!

For reasons that make absolutely no sense, I'm confident enough to take some of those odds and put some hard earned cash down. Got a crazy feeling we'll target Heater and Cloke will turn it on...last time I had this feeling was the 1980 Grand Final...oh wait.

The Sack was unlucky but we must look to the future in Marsh. Expecting a close contest today, Pies to hang tough and win by 4 points in a thriller.
Welcome back:)
Nothing has changed here though and need your positiveness.

Like some others on here, I too have a strange feeling about this game.

I cannot justify why we'll defeat GWS except to say that we are just better no matter how you look at it. Plus we're due for a big game right?

Pies to win by 22 points :thumbsu::)

Put a little money on us today. Just think this is one where our opponents could be caught napping. Great to have Fas and Adams back, i think we underestimate how much both mean to us these days.

Should have left the extra tall defender in the side to match up with their attack. Smith is a guy who won't add much to the game today, and should have been left out instead of Goldsack, then Jezza Howe gets more time to run and create instead of worrying bout Stevie J.

Key match-ups:
Caff vs Shiel - it would have been the perfect game for Greenwood to shine but instead Caff will get it. Best of luck to him!
Brown vs Cameron - Cameron isn't in red hot form atm and I reckon Brown can get the better. Reduce him to two goals or less and it's a win.
Reid vs Patton - Patton is rubbish and Reid should easily get the better of him.
Marsh vs Lobb - big test for Marsh but I think he proves a good match-up. Will be good to see.
Howe vs Johnson - Interesting one. Can see this one going either way.

I don't think clubs realise how much Fasolo has improved until they play him, so I reckon he'll start off very well (couple of goals in first quarter?) unfortunately they have Moore well covered with Davis but no defender of theirs but I think this could be a game for Cloke to shine. None of their defenders are anywhere near as big and tough as Cloke. If he takes some good contested marks and slots a few (yeah yeah don't laugh), we could kick a winning score.

I don't get how we're at $10.00 to win, we're much more likely to win than Tigers and Essendon I reckon.

Regardless of how much I put them up, I'm not sure we're capable of putting them away, however we won't get blown away like most suggest.

Giants by 19.

No late changes (officially).

Going by the consensus on here any loss between about 18 and 48 points is acceptable, which says a lot about where we are at.

I'd expect us to finish in that "expected gap".

6-9 record after today likely, hmm.

Ladbrokes $13 for us winning and Pendles 30 possies is just too good to pass up in his form.

Even if my head tells me we will lose my heart has decided that I can afford a little something on us

Surprised to read so many have "a good feeling" like I have about this game. Rather than confidence through shared opinion it's made me more pragmatic. Still, let's run with the facts that we've never lost to GWS and they've never won coming off a bye. Let's hope that they're over focussed on playing against Treloar and that Cloke and White kick 8 between them as they did the last time we played GWS. Collingwood at the line has to be a good bet doesn't it?

Hoping for a win, but bracing for a thumping. GWS at home is just about the hardest road trip now. I just wanna see competitiveness and not let them have it all their way when it comes to sledging Treloar.

Don't normally post in game day thread, is everyone going to be 'nice' today?:p
Bahahahaha - PIes premiership favourites too.
