No, all he's doing is running around getting cheapies and nothing else. All the other inside mids are getting their hands dirty either winning the ball or working hard defensively. Only reason he's getting so much of it is cause his opponent's aren't paying any attention to him and allowing him to run free. That won't happen every week. In fact, right now the opposition had already put the clamps on, and now he's useless. Anyone could've done what Wills did in that first quarter if they received no attention like he did. He's just a spud who was lucky the opposition paid him no respect for a quarter.

Tom Phillips is a concern. Hasn’t been anywhere near it this season and only has six touches so far.
Great first half, much better than last week.

Then Kick it to a Hawks Player or Misses his Target by a Mile.

C Brown done not much
Think you are judging him harshly. Your first post calling him out he had only just missed his first target. His ball use was surprisingly clean to start the game.

I think AT hasn’t been too bad. We know he’s going to have the odd clanged but he’s providing run and dash out of the middle.

He looks a bit lost at times, and a bit aloof. But did a couple of nice things in traffic. A real composed, clean pick in traffic stood out. Needs to get busy. Definitely a keeper, will be a player.

My comments were based on the first quarter (I was replying to a comment who quoted a comment I made in the first quarter). I admit he's started to win the ball in the 2nd quarter, but only one of his three disposals in that quarter was effective (they were mostly effective in the first quarter cause the opposition were paying no attention to him)

Look, I admit he's not as fumbly as he usually is, but the reason he got so much of the ball in the first quarter was purely because of the opposition paying no attention to him. He's not doing any of the hard stuff, which is his role as an inside midfielder. That's like praising a key forward for dominating against a non-key position player. He shouldn't even be on the list, let alone be getting a game.
He has played a good game though he faded a little late in the second quarters. He is one of the reasons we are winning.

Hope he plays the rest of the year. He’s an exciting talent. Playing next to Varcs is going to help massively for his development.
Having more runners back there just relieves Crisp and Maynard from providing us all the run.

He’s had two clangers. 2/16, I’ll take that.

68% disposal efficiency is better than last week, but there's still room for improvement.

Recent weeks have made me nervous about this second half.

Hes been overall good but typically errant. If he can release a bit earlier bfr the oncoming player gets too close i think it would help his KE.

Hawks have a smaller midfield in this game vs say GWS Ess and Norfs mids who physically take it up to us and to great effect.

Some of Maynards roving and bull like burst from it was why id like to see him moved to midfield, did some great work that quarter.
I'd miss him on too much on defense making people look stupid.
