I really don't know what to think here.

Selwood, Ablett, Dahlhaus, Clark, Fort and Steven all out. That's a hell of an injury list.

Duncan and Stewart are good ins. The rest, I'm not so sure... I think with that many changes, it just upsets team chemistry too much.

Let's go Fast Freddy Frederick - I can see you moving faster than the Flash and fearlessly finding space for a fleeting second before you fabricate some fantastical foot skills!

this year, freo take on the cats with a broken down back 6 as Alex Pearce and Joel Hamling is out. so thats the FB and CHB gone.

No fyfe in the middle but a semi decent forward line.

Last year freo won 14.11.95 to cats 9.7.61 with 5 out of 6 defenders available. Hamling, Duman and cox were the 3 190cm tall defenders. Fyfe, brad hill and Ed Langdon had good games.

The forward line had Sean darcy the ruck man as the only tall forward. Matera and Walters in the forward pockets. The half forward line was filled with 3 mids.

Our season ended at the Collingwood game. Giving Freo the edge. Their home ground and we have a lot of outs. And then it doesn't get much easier for us in opposition over the coming weeks.

Midfield is threadbare without Selwood and Ablett, making it the Dangerfield show once again. And he often doesn't fare too well when he tries to do everything himself. Also no ruckman. We'll be seeing Blicavs spend most of his minutes in there, which is a recipe for disaster, especially since we've brought in Henderson to fill in down back. Taylor and Henderson may have sufficed in 2016. Probably not in 2020.

A depleted side coached by Chris Scott versus Fremantle does not give me any confidence that this will be a watchable game. Wouldn't be surprised if we tried what we did against Melbourne, or if they cut us to pieces like Carlton.

I am excited to see Constable finally get another run, though, as well as Close and Fogarty. We're not really vying for a flag this year and will likely drop off quite steeply in the coming years with all the old players we still rely on in the side now, so it's good to see some kind of glimpse into our future.

Rain looks possible both teams with big injury lists. If geelong can't win in the wet against a bunch of kids then its pretty much curtains this year, watched the freo port game fremantle didn't handle the wet weather.

Geelong has a few kids too. In terms of experience, I don't think the gap is as big as it seems... no Selwood, Ablett, Steve, Dahlhaus removes about 1000 games.

Who knows which version of Geelong we'll get this week.
This applies to virtually all teams in 2020. A crazy year. And with the flurry of games starting Wednesday expect injury lists to increase
