Yep, the game means alot more to Collingwood.

Saying that, we will always go out 100% commited to winning. Pies will just want to prove something extra. Obviously every team goes out wanting to beat us, and no doubt the Pies have the side to do it regardless, but I reckon they'l put in that 1% extra effort to show what they can do.

Hi guys,

I feel like a bit of a numpty cause I assumed I'd be able to rock up with my Melbourne 11 membership tonight and get it. I just looked on the ticketek website and it says there are only standing room walk ups available to the first in.

I was sure I'd be guaranteed a GA with my membership as I never saw it advertised as a ticketed game. Is anyone else in the same position as me or know anything more then that?

I guess that general admission is standing room, when all other seats are sold.

cheers....shattered.

I turned down 2 guest MCC passes cause I wanted to be a tight ass and use my membership.

Looks like I'll be going to the pub!

I was in Standing Room for the 2007 Grand Final. Great atmosphere, but you will put up with a fair few Collingwood cheap drunks.

Certainly a unique way of watching a match and I reckon you should atleast do it once.

It was SEN this morning. Perhaps that could have been asked prior to deletion?

Plenty of people were contacting SEN to say that he is not playing due to injury. KB asked Neil Balme, and Blame didn't really want to discuss it, which is fair enough. He first response was a throwaway line that Ablett is on the Gold Cost signing a contract, then he said yes he is playing, and then no he isn't an so forth. Essentially, he was just being a smartarse about it. So, it sounded like he was trying to dodge the question.

Like I said in the first post, it is probably just crap.

Mate. If you don't like how we roll in here, go away.

I'm going tonight, despite last yr admitting to myself after our rd3 victory I don't think I could handle going to another game vs Collingwood, I was sitting next a woman who was a Magpies fan and she was screaming and swearing like buggery and every1 just kept looking at her in disbelief, I was embarrassed to be sitting next to her, sure all clubs have supporters like that but the Pies are a unique bunch, God knows how they will behave tonight if things don't go their way

Don't let that deter you from going to Pies games. We are not all like that despite the stereotype that people just roll with. I have been to games, and have examples from every team of a supporter acting like that.
Plus we all don't think Joffa is a god. Must of us sensible people think it's ridiculous that he is seen as the leader of Collingwood fans. So yeah.

Good luck tonight ladies and gents, going to be a cracker. :thumbsu:

I think that's how Joffa spells it too

Man love was shared with complete strangers in the 2007 Grand Final in the standing room area...

Ye you're prob correct, but it just seems to stand out more at Collingwood games and it is painful to be amongst, every team has those fans but hopefully I don't have to encounter that tonight, go Cats!

:thumbsu:ye you can say that! I just hate them, I don't doubt that they are the only supporters who behave so but they are just disgusting every time I go and are by far the worst of any supporter group in the comp, I honestly don't have any problem with any other club, hopefully I survive tonight, anyways, off to the game now, Carn the Catters!

hawks supporters are by far the worst...

the blues supporters were very ungracious in winning earlier as well.

This bravado happens every time we play them. Last year they were talking it up and got smashed. In 2007 when they lost they all got on and said they were going for port. Same team same result for mine!

Damn !!! Collingwood got 2 goals in the last minute of the 2nd quarter, we should be up by atleast 5 goals, but we keep stuffing around in the forward line. Varcoe is shit, he isn't upto it, either is Byrnes. Our kicking at goal has been horrible, hope things change in the 2nd half. The bad thing is, is that Collingwood havn't even been playing that well, as soon as they do, that's when we are in trouble. CARN THE CATS !

Hunt man what are you doing?
Mackie, Blake playing well. If only he hit our guys with his taps.

Anybody think they have been getting the run with the umpires. No deliberate. Johnno called play on so quick. The old problem of conversion.Under pressure , players tend to revert to their norm. Byrne's missing that shot was not good.

All good to get this sort pressure. Very much a finals type game
