We are obviously not playing very well. Our intensity is so low. We need to step it up in the second half otherwise we will will get pumped. Not good

Yeah, you're right... Didak has definitely proven this year that he is going to change a game, and he definitely has not just kicked junk time goals.

They're just bombing it into our forward line, it's not giving our forwards much of a chance.

It's a f**king frustrating game to watch.

I know we aren't expecting to peak until around round 15, but we still should be offering better than this. Losing games we probably should be winning will affect some confidence, especially if they are dropped as a result.

Does anyone else think that it's not a case of the forward press failing, but rather that the forward press is not being implemented at all? From what I've seen for most of this year, they're not even trying to get the press in place. Even when we've dominated quarters it's been through midfield dominance, not defensive pressure.

We can still turn it around, our kicking for goal is reminiscent of last year. This wouldn't be the first time Adelaide have skipped ahead against us. Still, can't believe Melbourne beat them by 90+

Yeah, but Didak won't do it unless we're 30odd points up. So again, there will be no difference at all.
Didak should have been dropped, he is lucky he is subbing so he gets some sort of chance to prove himself.

But Wood is a spud.......this guy has to get some mongrel in him.
It'll be great next week with him up against a red hot Cox and Naitanui....
The problem is not just him,we're getting smashed from stoppages and clearances and we're just bombing it into a crowded forward 50......

I hope we can turn it around in the second half,but it's looking pretty unlikely unless they get a kick up the @rSe at half time...

We're 13th ranked in tackles, so I think you're right.

Our struggling offensive zone and non existent tackling pressure have been the warning signs. Then add to that a team that is destroying us at the stoppages, spreading well, going straight up the guts, plus our innacuracy, plus 3 posters and a blatant stuff up by a goal umpire and this is what you get.

we need 3 of the first 4 goals this qtr, time for swan and pendles to show the money was well worth it. swan to half back shaw into midfield on thompson. maxwell down back and davis up forward

You're telling me. If he isn't fit enough to be playing half back then he simply shouldn't be in the team right now. He is just so important to our structure and I think his absence has a lot to do with O'Brien's poor form. He looks confused. It's as if he doesn't know whether he is a running player or a pure stopper.

This game is proving how important Beams is in our side as well. He never should have been out of it and we would be getting absolutely belted if it wasn't for him and Pendlebury.
