Hard to not think about 2014.... arggghhh we were playing so good and then we got hit by a brickwall in the Hawks that day. Hard to not think about a GF.

But at least you could say they were legit competition back then... finally a year where we are clearly standouts of the comp. Well so far... knock on wood

Yer but its just misery and whats the point in dwelling back i get it tho i really do i just keep it to myself.

Love how we just stop them dead in their tracks towards the end of the first then continued into the second, before absolutely crushing then in the third.

Yes, Carlton have alot of injuries. Bur we won that on clearance, in particular the centre bounce where they still had their first choice on ballers. Cripps and Walsh are no mugs but Heeney, Warner and Rowie just blew them away. Grundy was immense too and is proving to be the buy of the season, although JJ would give him a run for his money.

This is the 2022 side with another ~2 seasons into them

Chad with the confidence he's showing has finally taken that next step after a quieter year last year.

I want to note two things: Firstly: Amarty's repeat efforts tonight. At one point he followed the ball halfway up the ground and for three passes between Blues players, changing chasing target every time the Blues got a handball away. There were also multiple times where he backed up and chased when the ball hit the deck in the forward line. The next part needs its own post...

Yeah but you had injuries though. We didn't win fairly.

Yeah we’ve got a shed load of injuries and important players out, but I don’t think any of them make us quick enough or skilful enough to compete with what I saw tonight. We’d still have weaknesses to exploit at full strength.

Swans certified flag favourites in my eyes.

Yep was it the first quarter where he kicked the ball up the field then popped up leading for the follow up kick from INSIDE 50, so had sprinted past Papley or whoever he passed to in order to present for him.

Yep good point re Amartey, TOG still a bit low, but he is working around way more

I reckon that was Adams best game for us too, 20 touches from just 68% game time and he looked sharp and hungry for the contest
He helped turn it around in the contest in the first quarter too. So useful having him to go in there when we're struggling.

...Even better, though, was Walsh talking s**t and shoving Cunningham around in the first only to spend the rest of the day being ground into the dirt and having Cunningham run off him for a goal.

Started off as a very familiar script they tried to bully us from the start and got a good lead.

Warner has to keep the elbows down was a very clumsy attempt at a fend off.
