I agree that if we have Clarko squared away, we should still go through the charade just so that we can officially tell Ross Lyon that his application was unsuccessful. Out of respect, it should be a personally delivered message. From Sleevo.
What. In a burning paper bag on his doorstep?

Yep. That would work.

This whole process will be much scrutinised with the usual suspects looking for something we have done wrong. Go through the process even if we know the result. At least Archer isn't involved so that will mean Caro and Barrett will need a new target.

I'm not sure if you ever had the pleasure of standing in the outer at Victoria Park or Windy Hill in the 80's - let's just say it burns a memory deep in a man's soul.
I went with a couple of magpie workmates and they met up with the regular crowd for a match there one day. They were (sadly) doing pretty well and a fight broke out between one of these blokes and some other Collingwood supporter about who was better on the day between Peter Moore and some other pie player. Blood noses all around.

Needless to say, I just shut the **** up.

They are the only two grounds I ever worried about racist violence from adults as a kid (15ish). Admittedly it was on days when JK snapped someone.

Windy Hill was a ****ing ugly place.

Never had any issues at Victoria Park.

My user experience was the opposite. Once you got within about a two kilometre radius of Vic Park, the relentless abuse and threats from the local inbreds would commence.

I always thought that the * supporters were all mouth, no trousers. Just like their players.

The day Ross Glendinning knocked Billy Duckworth into the next millennium at Windy Hill had its moments.

As exhilarating as it was, there were about 9 NMFC supporters in total on the terraces beneath the scoreboard that day.

Let's just say it was tense.

I never felt threatened at either ground to be honest. I just found the * mob to be a bigger bunch of ****wits.

This thread will be awkward if we don't offer the job to Clarko or he takes the gig at GWS. :stern look
Yeah, it'd be like back in school when you worked up the courage to ask out that hot chick and she just looked at you like "what the **** are you talking to me for?" Or something like that......

Subiaco and Footy Park were as ordinary as any. campaigners just stare at you all day. Spend all your time telling to * off.

Gabba is as weird as all *. campaigners spend all day wandering around chatting while the game’s on. “ Sit down idiot”
I had a loud mouth colleague who was a Pies supporter. Went across to Footy Park for a game and was getting into the locals. One of the ferals pissed into a Big M carton and lobbed it like a hand grenade. Could not stop laughing as he was telling me.

That does not surprise me at all.

One muppet threw a beer at me on the way out. He thought he was clever until I pointed out the bars had shut and his mates had full ones.

Which club do you think will be the most fun to beat by 120+ points when we turn it around? And you can't say Essendon because that's a given. Which team has been beating up on us for too long and would be really good to turn the tables in a big way?
Nah. Still Essendon. Twice

Yeah. I mean so I imagine.

Geelong
Sydney
Bulldogs

We really owe these teams.

Loved going to the old suburban grounds. Went to all of them. You just knew your place. Head down and just stfu. The worst was Moorabin, the outer was mud. Away fans at venues had a little section usually in the pocket where they could congregate and feel somewhat safe. Footy would be dead though if the game didn’t adapt and for that I’m glad. Hurry up Clarko….

FWIW at least Clarko wasn't watching today. In what may be a hint (?) he was at St Kevins v Caulfield APS game.

I'd like to think from a North POV he was to watch Wardlaw (like I was!) and work out how good he would be for us but he did not end up playing (FFS)....
