I've said this before and I will say this again, the media will try every trick in the book to change narratives, as they simply do not want Clarko to land at Norths. The greatest coach of the modern era signing with Norths is simply something the media and the rest of the AFL world just would not be able to accept. It just does not suit their narrative.

So for Norths, it's the most simplest of processes.
  • Norths talk to Clarko and asks this simple question: Would you like to coach the North Melbourne Football Club?
  • Clarko: Yes
  • Norths: Sign here ✍️
There is no need to go through any other process, no need to bring in any other committee to help choose the coach. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we need to strike.

Now if Clarko is not interested, yeah then fine, go through the process of choosing a committee to help choose our next coach. But if he is, just get it done and announce it. I want to start gloating again.

Unidentified.aerial.phenomena?
Anti-vax - dodgy contracts with big Pharma over poorly developed products with mandates.
Q-Anon - pushed by far right US intel types who are trying to bring about a second US civil war.
UFOs - obviously not real or the Pentagon wouldn't be releasing footage of stuff claiming its them.
Moon landing - how do you land a rocket on cheese without it melting?
Chemtrails - areas of the atmosphere super saturated with pollutants and aerosols from economic activity (industrial production and air travel).
5g - greater tracking and social control possibilities because the network is significantly more powerful also 5G warfare - ie warfare waged on populations who don't know they are being targeted.
Pedo rings in government - well at least they aren't real. Otherwise people might die in prison under mysterious circumstances.
Clarko to North - No chance. The AFL would never let it happen.

If clarko wants the job, it's his. I've repeated this several times 😉

It's amazing how the media just want click bait stories and make stuff up.
Is it that simple, even Luke Hodge suggested Clarko is difficult to work with and he will bully a club without strong leadership. Yes he will get results.
It wont be all roses for the playing group if we land Clarko

We probably need a fair amount of bullying. Things haven't been working out the way we're currently working and it might just take an outside source to make changes and tell it like it is. Can't really discredit clarkos pedigree or success.

I'd be wary of the views of Hodge, Lewis and Mitchell on Clarkson given that they all finished their careers away from Hawthorn. Yes Hodge and Lewis appeared to enjoy their new clubs (not sure if Mitchell did) and could even see the logic in it but it's likely they hold some resentment towards him.

Footnote: I'd be wary of Lewis' views on anything - sniping, pretentious halfwit.

Sounds like Noble tried to bring in tough love, some hard discipline. But he had no coaching record and barely a playing record.

Rightly or wrongly, young players' threshold to cop hard discipline will be far lower from a coaching novice like Noble than it will a maestro like Clarkson.

We've been employing Labradors for the last decade.

This would be like bringing in a Rotty - we better know how to handle one.

Rhyce Shaw had the same issue with the playing group. A lot of the younger guys seemed more concerned about their social media profile than playing football

I don't have any issue whatsoever if Clarko moves on any of the playing group who are more interested in 'likes' on the socials than getting a kick..

Like I've said before, our list in 2022 will be very different in 2025.

Make it happen Sonja (and Euge - wherever you are).

doubt they'll publicly say until the end of the season.
I think they'll make an announcement a week before the last match, not that he'd coach the last match, but it would make sense to have him on board so he can be involved with list management decisions, preparation for the draft and possibly even exit interviews.

If the rumours of him taking a first hand look at George Wardlaw on the weekend are correct he may already be making some decisions on list management decisions.

there's zero chance that we play this like ask clarkson first, then if he says no go ahead with the process of hiring a coach. That would be just feeding the journo's again, take all the wind out of whoever we do go for, etc.

Sure, we might be preferencing Clarkoson's answer over other potential candidates, but we will attempt to either make it seem like, or actually be like, hiring/interviewing Clarkson was a part of the process on par with them.

Even if they have an answer they're probably not going to tell you yet
Agree. They should let me know though and I'll keep it in the vault.

I gots a mates who calls us Norths (yes he's a member) and I reckons its somethings rugbys peoples (both codes) do. Not all the times, just after a couple of beer or a scoobs sometimes. I've only heards rugby peoples refers to us thats way. Obviouslys theys don't gets thes significances of the added "s"s.

Certainly, with Clarko, there will be whinging and resentment and maybe even some churlishness in response but it will be a case of **** around and find out.

Brad Scott too. When Mountford, Watson and Hibberd were delisted all they seemed to do was post crap on their socials.
