Trying to correct the Naitanui mistake from ten years ago? Talented raw athletic young ruckman from WA.Just getting this in writing early.
Luke Jackson @ pick 3 would be a giant reach for Melbourne. Talented ruckman, but has never played above Colts.
Recruiters are putting WAY too much merit in the idea that his potential is limitless (swapped focus to Football 12 months ago).
Even more boggling that a club with Gawn and Preuss would use pick 3 on a Ruckman in the first place.
The situation reeks of a club trying to make amends for picking Watts over Nic Nat all those years ago.

A couple pages back someone made the point that we already have some kids coming through the ranks to be excited about so being out of the draft in 2019 & 2020 is really no big deal. Absolutely spot on! We have a flag winning list, with some young players to get excited about as well.
Gawn is 28 next month. When you consider that bigger players take longer to develop, it checks out that they'd be in the market for a young Ruckman. Preuss is a spud.Just getting this in writing early.

Is Anderson being assumed as no.2 spot as a way of trying to keep Rowell beyond the mandatory 2 years?
Me too.
Perez
Ruscoe
Chergwin
Shute
Any of these players at 46 and I will be pleased.
Then Ben Keays at what ever the second pick number eventually becomes.
Wishful thinking.
Expecting to be disappointed.
But still keeping my fingers crossed for a slider at 46.
Yeah, but only as late or rookie pick and if Comben, Byran are already gone.any1 interested in CALLUM Jamieson, someone mentioned we may take another ruck
Im not really sold on jackson
Don't forget about Sam Philp gaiz
does he have the pace and skill too match though?

Melbourne feel he can play round 1 as a forward who pinch hits in his develooment years and then take over from Gawn in 2 to 3 years time.
Pruess was and remains backup. It wqs always a strange move him going to Melbourne.
He’s got at least another 4 years given ruckman tend to play in to their early 30s. Would have thought given Melbourne’s recent history they’d be going for someone a little more ready madeGawn is 28 next month.
