Shocking list management
To be fair they went out and got Keith and Bruce who are both injured.

Also have JUH and Darcy who are both incredibly highly rated but young on their list.

Not sure why they let Lewis Young go though. Even if he's jot a world beater he looks as good if jot better than Cordy, Gardiner and williams. If bevo doesn't rate them though he doesn't try them where they are most likely to succeed e.g. Jordan Roughead.

The Freo/Giants free kick differential of 42-16 fascinated me. Tried to find some stats on highest free kick differential, but haven't found anything. Anyway, in reading discovered that overall free kick numbers have dropped significantly since 1970s where overall 100 a game was not uncommon...

Rene Kink lost 5 GFs at multiple clubs
Yeah 2 not three. I’m not having a go at her, even though I didn’t like the scuttle bug about how she left CFC, but it’s pretty rare to play for three clubs, let alone three clubs who make it to the big dance.
I’m all for equality and the snap of her kick is an amazing picture, surely one of the best kicking pics in our game man or woman. The crap she had to face was abhorrent and I hope the whole episode opened some eyes and changed attitudes. I would like to think in time or even now, there are a couple of candidates, would be more deserving of a statue, pioneers of the WAFL, women who really made a mark in the WAFL for the right reasons.

I mean really, she is by no means a titan in the women’s league by a fair way. Except for an amazing kicking action.

Bingo, you get it.

... And then you showed you didn't get it.

No doubt there will be other statues of women for other reasons, doesn't diminish the watershed moment that is depicted by the Harris statue. There is room for both lifetime achievements and pivotal moments, without needing to belittle one or the other.

If you believe there are other more worthy candidates, name them and advocate for them, without resorting to demeaning the ones already there.

The statue isn’t about Harris’s greatness as a footballer.

It’s using an image that displays her power and athleticism as a representation of the qualities in the womens game. And, if you remember the disgraceful behaviour of men in reaction to Michael Wilsons photo, it also represents courage in the face of criticism.

So stop crying about the statue, it won’t hurt you.

Great take.

there is barely a statue in melbourne/australia commemorating/celebrating women's achievements but thousands for men - even men who clearly shouldn't have them in the first place......

Gold Coast are paying Will Brodie to play for Freo and he had a ripping 36 BOG performance last night against GWS.

It's actually hard to feel sorry for The Suns and say they need extra help from the AFL when they keep making shocking list management and SC blunders like that. It's a shemozzle

Gold Coast and Fremantle are the same in that respect.

Fremantle traded Lachie Neale for Pick 6, then Fremantle used Pick 6 (and 23) on Jesse Hogan (who played 19 games for Fremantle before being traded for Pick 54) when they could have drafted Ben King or Bailey Smith. Both clubs are incompetent.

probably wouldn't be pointing the finger at other clubs' list management just yet............

I wasn’t going to agree. But it’s you, so I will agree.

Wish we took Gibcus. Ideal replacement for Jones, although I have no doubt Jesse Motlop is going to be a gun.

How would that have been even possible.

Richmond took him at pick 9.

Our 1st pick was 27 in last years draft.
