Didn't watch it, part of me thinks Bevo crossed the line and no journalist needs to abused and singled out in a press conference like that, but then part of me thinks it's just Tom Morris.
But jeez, reading some of the comments I have read about it on twitter, it is possibly borderline libel/slander from Bevo

Fair comment, contextual truth, honest opinion and finally Tom Morris, I think Bevo has a few defences there he’ll be fine.
Figures they should play it at optus stadium, perfect for crowds that size.

If Morris is leaking stuff he shouldn’t have, to give the team he supports an unfair advantage, then fair enough.
If he is simply reporting what he know publicly, then Bevo needs to apologise and get his own house in order.

Bevo just made Tom Morris look like a good journo who does his job well. Something I didn't think of Tom previously

It’s not Tom Morris leaking, he’s reporting on leaks that he receives from people within the club, which is his right and to an extent, his obligation as a journalist.
Bevo is pissed that the club weren’t given a heads up about what Tom was going to report, something that most industry journalists will do as a courtesy.
It’s absolutely wild that Bevo would call Tom Morris a gutter journalist when he was clearly reporting facts based on Bevos reaction. And to top it off, he says that Tom only reported on the information because he barracks for the other team, as though a journalist, commentator or even an umpire can’t be impartial when it’s their job to be.
What a bizarre press conference, Bevo needs to pull his head in.

Just watched the rest of it, he was only reporting on a player being dropped for the GF last year. Fair enough if he was given the info, although the issue seems to be it was prior to the team being announced, which may have helped Melbourne with their game planning.
Guy was doing his job, although he didn’t do the normal journo thing and give the club a heads up the info was coming out. Poor form from the journo maybe, not worth the spray he has copped publicly.
Bevo will probably sack whoever leaked the info if they find out who it was. Good on him for standing up for his club, should have gone about it a different way.
This is going to go on all season unless one of the Tom or Bevo is sacked. Not sure how they repair what happened any other way.
