North won't produce what they have today too many times this season, a solid win though. Saints on the other hand, no chance finals await them if they produce that crap. Also, I know he's had the concussions and what not, but reckon McCartin will never reach the level he was intended to when drafted. Don't rate him personally. Marking is his best trait but there is nothing else he's shown that makes me think he will be the player the Saints want him to be or intended him to be.

He is a solid 10kg overweight and has never looked like a professional athlete.

I know his diabetes might be a factor here but unfortunately it may be the thing that stops him reahcire his potential also

No doubt. Absolutely his diabetes will be something that will affect him physically and he is going to have his off days when playing, but I was thinking more so his technical ability. People rate players, others don't. I know and understand he's young still and has heaps of time ahead in his career, and I hope he proves doubters like myself wrong. But I cant see him becoming the player they envisioned him to be when drafted.

North didn’t play well, they just didn’t have an opposition today. StKilda will probably win the wooden spoon after that and Richo will be gone.

The worst thing for the Saints today was that North didn’t even really play well. They are really looking at a rebuild of a rebuild, no game breakers or team lifters at all. Whilst they are blowing pick 25 on Long (in a deep draft), we recruited Garlett with the last pick of the draft.

Their entire list management (including some ridiculous contracts) has been way off. 2 picks inside the top 15 before this year, they needed to nail their selections, which they simply haven’t done.

Also, their coach has the personality of a clothes peg.

Are you implying that he left his players out to dry?

I'll see myself out..

“In 2015, his fourth and final year as a Giant, Treloar’s efficiency by foot was 65.5 per cent. Over his time at Collingwood, it’s 53.0 per cent and last week brought a new nadir of 28.6, as he and Adams went clanger-for-clanger in an inadvertent butchering competition.”

Quoted for awesomeness.

Saints have too many grunt mids and small fwd/sort of mids, they need a Dylan shiel type to help Jack Steven. Watch them throw serious cash at some free agents soon.

Richardson is not a great coach for mine, that team is up and down with performance which ultimately is his fault.

I hope we smash them after they went for us the last 15 or so years.

I read an article on him this week (can’t remember who wrote it now) that said when he plays, it’s the equivalent of a non diabetes player playing through a hangover.

If true, I can’t imagine him being long for this league. That must be bloody awful to have to try and play through.
