All 7 have played test cricket champ. Do you even have a point
You want us to pick blokes making FC we do that and then you complain regardless.
If we did decide to go back to Bancroft last summer you would of just sooked and moaned about that anyhow
So Head being dropped from the test side is a black mark against his name yet not for Khawaja interesting. When anyone else makes FC runs you try and find some way to discredit them. When Khawaja finally makes some runs at FC level you are all over him

The only positive with Head playing would be you are usually guaranteed a 20 which stops an immediate run of wickets. Of course that 20 rarely becomes more than 40

Khawaja has shown he can make big test hundreds there’s the difference and frankly Head is a tease

My point is I don’t trust the coach at all to make calls he hasn’t done it before and won’t in the future. This is all despite him wanting to reward performances.
This is the same coach that picked Starc and Lyon all summer last year

At some point though you have to give the batsmen some time to find their feet all the top performers in the shield had played test cricket. So you would be dropping someone to go back to someone else who you have already judged to have failed at the level. Green was the dominant batsmen in the shield and did force his was into the team

He is lazy has that old mindset that his job is to bat and not to be an athlete

Had a case to replace Lyon? That’s being kind. Lyon was utterly horrible he managed to make Starc look the second worst!
Two tests is plenty that’s four innings I’m happy enough to give them that time but Langer has to have the nads to make calls and watch him not all summer

Wasn’t that 161 against SL? I agree Khawaja is a tease but right now if you ask me who is pick it wouldn’t be Head. Least give me 1 out of the 3 I don’t want there!
But to replace someone you need a better option. Yes Swepson was bowling very well but also got injured

He was fit at the start though wasn’t he. Starc was the worst so watch Langer pick the dud and then let’s watch Cummins and Hazelwood have to over bowl because the pie chucker can’t bowl
And SL is a test nation, Khawaja’s ashes average is 29. That’s shit especially when half his ashes tests have been at home

I especially liked the getting caught at third man twice in the same test
Khawaja is a smart decision. We all know we are winning this Ashes, but we want to build a team here that can take us through next year as well, Khawaja played one of the best innings I've seen in the SC and he seems to be out of the slump he had a few years ago.
It's obviously his last chance, Head will get plenty more chances.

But Lyon’s form in the shield was good, while you could still make a case for Swepson’s FC form being better at the start of the season Lyon also had 390 test wickets to his name

Not keen on Usman but he i think he is a better option than Head for this series alone, not convinced on either long term yet so hope Koala gets the nod.
