The batting is even worse which just makes things even more depressing but since the end of the ashes the bowlers have been below their best.

It also doesn't help that our bowlers rarely have decent totals to defend, they are the lesser of the two issues but they were never going to give us the edge over india's quicks even though many thought they would, unlike englands quicks the year before india have the pace and skill set to cause real issues over here.

Which he is yet to do. He's yet to even really dominate a team with quality bowling. Picking up the tail or getting wickets with trash doesn't make you quality. I mean look at Starc.. he's not a WC bowler in long form cricket... not on your nellie.

Hey everyone, we have a team with a top order that can't bat for shit, one opening bowler who doesn't pack the punch he threatens to, another opening bowler who seems to be going through the motions a bit, but hey my name is Bradesman and you know what I'm going to nail my mast to?

Patrick Cummins! The one guy who doesn't drop his head. He may not be perfect but he keeps on plugging away, and eventually plugs away just enough that he forces an error. Or four of them as it was today.

It doesn't mean he's perfect or beyond reproach. But it also means your assessment of him of bowling trash is a complete joke and your one-line retort of "but nah I'm not wrong" doesn't convince anyone of anything other than that you have no ****ing idea and also have a complete inability to change your opinion on anything.

Renshaw must be a better option than Finch for one. I'm a Finch fan, Stoinas for Marsh, and I'm a marsh fan.
