Half the world went crazy offering 2 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder for Callaghan
not to mention what was offered up for JHF

Im really not too sure what people were expecting from a pick #14 and an early 2nd rounder ?
these picks are Ben Lennon - Corey Ellis- Thomson Dow - RCD - CCj - type of picks

Im sure if somebody did the stats there would be someting like 25% chance of getting a 100 game player from the 2 picks

Taranto is averaging 29 poss a game @60% DE over the 4 games
His Career average is 23 poss a game at 63% over 118 games

Dion Prestia career average 24 poss @ 68%

We and the club always knew Taranto's kicking was his weakest asset and would love him to be at 70% but its what it ALWAYS WAS

Why just use the examples of picks we have taken?

Picks between pick 11-20 over the last decade & a bit - Tom Lynch, Patty Cripps, Nat Fyfe, Toby Greene, Sam Docherty, Taylor Adams, Luke Shuey, Devon Smith, Brandon Ellis, Hayden Crozier, Tom Mitchell, Brodie Grundy, Issac Heeney, Jake Lever, Lachie Weller, Tim English, Harry McKay, Charlie Curnow, Eric Hipwood, Dan Rioli, Zak Butters - and many more.

More than a Few Colemans, a few Brownlows, lots of AA & Premiership Medals in there...... but sure, just cherry pick the players who didnt work out.... I havent even included a list of the good players who came with the 2nd rounder....o_O

We traded the future for Hopper & Taranto - 2 years of picks. When it happened i told you - the team we have today is the team we are now stuck with for 3 years. This is it. We have no cap space to make further moves - no trade assets to make any further trades - unless we move on Short, D.Rioli, Baker, Balta, Bolton - they are the only guys who we could even dream of trading for a decent return. The rest are too old to get a worthwhile return - or too young to be worth trading.

Dimma has to find a dream mix with this lot otherwise its going to be a fairy frustrating few years. I honestly don't think Dimma has it in him to find that mix - after 2 years of watching the match committee hack it up, i have very little faith they have the courage to strike gold like they did in 2017. The last 3 seasons have been amongst the most frustrating i can recall since the late 90's.

HRS on his non-preferred right-foot did well to snap this goal. Lynch was equally as good to shepherd it through by contesting - I was seriously relieved to see we weren't called for that sort of shepherding as we have been called before in the past.

The crowd were calling hard for Cumbo to take the shot and were so happy he did and slotted it

This was probably my favourite goal of the night. Mainly for its symbolism. All the cubs linking up.

Stop playing with words and cherry picking examples

Why not post the % of players selected between 14-21 or if it makes it easier 10-20 that have played 150 games as thats the amount Taranto will most likely play for Richmond

Why on Earth have we now played Short and Nank (Dimma mentioned this) through injuries and then they magically get a worse injury? That isn't unlucky, that's literally poor conditioning/fitness management. Meehan is a dud.

Syndesmosis is an impact injury so nothing to do with conditioning

Because we are riding yesterdays papers and paying the price.

LOL. You literally picked all the picks we fudged for a decade & excluded all the Brownlow Medalist, Coleman medalist, AA's that were taken by every other club in those pick selections. The picks we gave up for Hopper & Taranto were great picks. Sure, if we stuffed up those picks we might have only traded Ben Lennon, Ben Griffiths, Corey Ellis & Jayden Post for them. But, if those picks actually hit it could be Cripps, Bolton, Shane Edwards & Tom DeKoning.

At what point of us not hitting the lofty targets YOU and others like YOU keep setting on us, will it be acknowledged that we are no longer the fearsome Super Team you still like to think we are? That we are not hitting the lofty targets YOU are setting AFTER we keep making these list changes? Be it trading 2 years of picks or re-signing Cotchin, Riewoldt - at what point do we actually look at the results and question if we are not just trying to push shit up a hill?

It's over. Rebuild ASAP. Been saying it for 2 years FFS & nothing over the past 2 years has been achieved to suggest we should have kept doubling down on Yesterdays Champions. You keep saying im wrong & i sit back quietly for months, let you talk and then wait for the seasons to unfold and then wait for all the excuses.

Said Last year - AFL will not let this team succeed under Dimma again & we saw one of the most blatant examples of the AFL influencing a result with "ARC-Gate". The examples that prove what i've been saying far outweigh any positive results we have had. Our luck wont change till Dimma moves on & thats because there is no such thing as Luck in the AFL anymore, as the AFL learned that "Luck" can be manufactured in the form of replays, suspensions, compo picks etc etc etc. The AFL changed everything so much, they literally control the "luck" & we magically have had none since COVID.

You really are just scratching aren't you

How many Brownlow medalist have we got with a pick after pick #14 ?
Jack was a pick #13 back a generation ago and Tom was similar

Now again i will ask you and see if you have what it takes to give stats on what % of players selected after pick #14 actually play 150 games
and dont bother replying unless you actually address the question as you ALWAYS rabble on about something else that nobody really gives a flying F about

Why does it only matter how many we have had? Does the Brownlow medalist from the other 17 clubs not count?

I mean we took Ben Lennon with our pick and Cripps went after it. We took Griffiths with our pick & Nat Fyfe went after it. Thats 2 Brownlow winners taken immediately after the picks YOU chose to use as the examples to show they were "worthless". 2 picks that are both weaker than the 1 first rounder we traded for either of these players.

You are validating moves that are unproven by comparing it to our worst mistakes in a decade & trying to not call it "cherry picking"
