No, but the selection this week wasn't the right week to manage Riewoldt and play Ryan instead.
If the plan is to manage Riewoldt and promote Ryan that's great, but once we knew the conditions we probably needed to recognise that this isn't the week that's going to allow Ryan to prove it's a good move. As opposed to Riewoldt who has always been a handy forward in the wet as far as KPFs go.

Areas to tidy up include addressing clearances - Nank probably needs to be upgraded and just making less errors on the kick ins. Although Tigers lost I was actually happy with Hardwick’s coaching as they finally played with speed. Melbourne are clearly the best side so it’s time to just enjoy the rebuild and be thankful for the three flags.
I enjoyed Clarke’s game today as well as how Ralphsmith, Cumbo and Young.

How is it possible that we went and got two inside mids with questionable disposal YET still want to play the turnover game?
It's clear that Hopper and Taranto were "gettable" by the GWS because they can't hit a target. Yet, we still play a structure that is reliant on turnovers. Taranto and Hopper are in and under/hack it forward mids. Both have made horrendous turnovers on 20/30m passes that we haven't seen from permanent mids for years.
It's like Dimma has addressed a weakness in the list, but hasn't adjusted the game plan to suit. It hasn't helped that Grimes and Vlastuin's intercept games have diminished and we have guys like Young (not his fault) who would prefer to "Nick Maxwell" a double fisted spoiler, rather than mark.

It would really help if our Ruckman could win a hit out to advantage... In fact I would love to know how many Nankervis hit outs have gone to the opposition advantage??. It would be some kind of record... Around the ground our Ruckman take very little marks and have very little presence. I would rather play another mid...

A disgrace from our club to be 1-1-2 after recruiting tarant and hopper and with the next 2 games chances are we will be. 1-1-4. Pick 12, 19, and whats looking like a top 10 pick and pick 31 only to lose the clearances 44-22.

Mmmmmm but we aren't the filth or dogs now are we? Do you honestly believe if we are to speak up on perceived mistreatment that we will magically shoot up the free kick ladder? Are you high? More likely dimma will get to see some 'special angles' of our frees against and then the supporters will hear absolutely ****en nothing like with the lynch goal.
If we are in fact receiving unfair treatment then it will not stop until every last person that has stepped foot into tigerland from 2015 - 2023 is long gone from the organisation.
When we do speak out, nothing happens.
Why would we risk pissing off the powers that be when we could put that energy into making a team capable of overcoming it like '17-'20.
But it's a fair enough point you raise. I hadn't considered them.

People Need To cool their jets about Tarranto and Hopper, you can’t just insert two contested beasts into our midfield, change, the way we play and expect to just flick a switch and go, there will be some teething problems. Some embarrassing posts actually.
It helps when it gets hit down their throat with no pressure.
