Positives tonight in Mckay (again) Bonar (surprising me), Atu looks polished, Jack, Cunners, Powell, Stephenson with 2.
Jy tries but needs more support.

Negatives
Mahoney, can’t kick over a jam tin straight and turns over at key moments.
Lazarro was unsighted tonight
Atley was Atley. I watched at one point in the last quarter as he called for the hand pass whilst running into the back pocket!
Campbell tries but is not up to AFL level. Unfortunately though I don’t see us with much choice.
Phillips and Scott struggling.
For me though Tarryn Thomas is the big concern. Goes missing for too long a period during games, in fact tonight he was missing for pretty much all of the game.
Walker tries but struggles with mobility.

We keep going back to the reserves for more soldiers but we are fast running out of troops.

Again this week Hall will be out for 2 weeks, also wouldn’t be surprised if Bonar is out for a few with that knee...

Edit. - As much as we are struggling I would be more concerned if I was a Geelong supporter, they are shit house.

Also a call out for the umps, some shocking frees tonight again, how can they be sucked in so badly is beyond me.

Geelong might be the worst team we’ve faced thus far. Closer to our best 22 playing and away from the bowling alley where every free under the sun goes their way and we’re a bigger than massive chance to beat them.
Time for sack Scotts?

18 rebound 50s and 946 metres gained.

He played a great game. Take you’re nonsensical hating elsewhere. Now you just look silly.
A kick out from a point counts as a rebound 50. There were 17 points. So he had 1 true rebound 50.

Like I said, if you think he had a good game you’re a Super Coach nufftie.

That stat seriously needs to take the kick ins out as he took 90% of the 17 points they kicked. I think he is going ok, but he does not win the contests like Bonar or McKay and his second efforts are light on. However, he is not a backline player so can be forgiven. Hopefully with Young, Bonar and McDonald playing the taller roles, he can go back to the forward line.

Really want to like all three of these guys but they all had absolute stinkers today.
Agree not their best games, but if you don't expect inconsistency from your inexperienced players your going to be continually disappointed.

That hit on Danger was awesome though, friggin hate that dirty campaigner💪

As much as JZ has his moments, he downright remained composed during the hot moments that came at him. He knows he cant crack and he didnt.

He's going alright. Not the issue.

Got a few players that are hot and cold at the moment and that's probably to be expected with about as much availability as a U16s Div 5 team.

With lack of presence up forward, it's gonna be bloody hard. Collingwood are in the same boat. It doesn't work.

The fact people on here are saying he wasn’t very good yet ex North players are praising him says it all. No idea, armchair experts who expect the world.

60+ inside 50’s for Geelong and he had 4 contested possessions! What is he down there for? Solely to take the kick outs? Yay, what a great game!

Yeah.

Ideally he would be given time to get physically up to speed, rolled in and out of the team and not third banana behind Cunners and Simpkin.

Gun, yes. Ready for key role? No.
Has sublime spatial awareness. Have to play him at the highest level as long as he is pulling his weight to develop these skills. Already some of his plays look like he is a 50 gamer. Might get tired later in the season but for now he is far from lost at sea.
