That 5 minute patch midway through the 2nd after Jnr's awesome goal was the turning point. We had our foot on the throat, and were a couple of goals away from breaking them. But a couple of woeful clangers from Tex, they get the ball forward, score a goal, break the momentum and the rest is history.

Tex has been good this year, but he's also gone to water at really crucial stages in the game, in far too many games.

Bad: Rachelle, is the classic downhill skiing player. Needs to learn how to win his own ball in a hard contest. Rankine was just as bad.
Fair comment ....Rachelle still has a long way to go ....now, let's talk Bailey Humphrey ....7 game player, looking mature in pressure situations

The Fugly,

I flew to Darwin to watch this shit. What a shitshow we are away from home.

At the game the umpiring had nothing to do with our weak as water collapse in the second and third qtrs. We lost all shape and started playing like millionaires. Worked hard at the end of the third to get back in the game. Got in front in the last and then in true Crow fashion went to pox again.

We're not playing finals until we can win something away from home and I dont mean by a few points against one of the bottom teams.

We're formidable at home and the opposite away.

I ****ing hate football now.

I thought that was the obvious change.
You are asking a bit much for Hinge to be our FB
And surely we could just keep Murray deep in defence. He takes whoever goes there.

If it's Casboult, fine.

If it's Lukosius, fine.

Have our best defender in the key post

If Lukosius goes wandering up the field on Hinge, who cares. If he's deep in the F50 on Hinge though, that matters.

Worst umpiring since the Dogs game in 2016.

Fog might have been our best.

Midfield seemed incoherent.

Worrell should have been in.

No more games in Darwin, Cairns, Alice, Ballarat, Launceston, whatever, please just make it stop. Our first game in Melbourne for the year is still 3 weeks away.
The AFL can clearly see we are finally a team on the up, if they give us the same shitty fixture next year then serious question need to be asked.

I was only able to catch pieces of the game so I’m genuinely asking… why did we throw Murray in ruck when we were already light in defence thanks to the Doedee injury?

Not throwing the baby out with the bathwater - thought we'd be 10-12 this year, still think that.

We're 1-2 quality midfielders away, hopefully we can address that.

Hinge feels like Keays a couple of years ago - looks great, but ceiling isn't high.

Doedee, hugely important structurally. Butts struggles without him, but he's also on a top 3 pick, he's a rookie - keep that in mind.

Smith - going through the motions, very disappointing. Very little hurt, no real impact.

Milera - good again, put him in the midfield, we're lacking too much there.

Rankin - probably just a game he needed to get in the rearview mirror, done.

Umpires - disgraceful.

Midfield - don't know if it's just me, but we seem to still be relying on the old guys in there, instead of backing the youngsters in across a meaningful amount of time.

Honestly, it's a disappointing loss, and I'm pretty pissed off, but it's also a solid reflection of where we are at.

AS LONG AS THERE IS A PLAN, AND WE'RE DEVELOPING OUR SIDE, STRUCTURE ETC DURING THE YEAR, THEN I'M OK WITH LOSSES OF THIS NATURE.

We've won one game outside of Adelaide this year. We are still a fair way off.
We only just scraped over the line in that one too.

We're a top four team at home but a bottom four side away.

Keays had some brilliant moments and is a warrior but he also went at 36% DE and his direct opponent got a game high 10 clearances
How many clearances were clearances and how many were frees? How many were when keays was on him? Keays is meant to stop their best player and also be damaging on the other end. He was one of our better players tonight.
