I'm with you. Tremendous gesture by Sonny Bill, but what happens if/when parents start deciding it's a good idea to talk their kids into jumping the fence, because the rules apparently don't apply to kids?
Last word should probably go to the bloke who pointed that as usual the rich, white, English kid walks away with the spoils of others efforts.

SFFC legends: Benny Vigona, Willie Roe, Maurice Rioli
I did a search for Benny the other day to see if I could find a photo of him from the 1981 GF v Claremont when he shaped up as a prize fighter in one of those brawls at the start of the game. I couldnt find it but I found this one and it led me to do a search of Maurice Rioli and Stephen Michael and unfortunately there arent a any real classic shots of them.

I've got to ask: was it normal for a guy in his early 30s to look like that in those days?
With the best will in the world I wouldn't have described either of those two as normal.

Pretty much haha.

It is an interesting situation though: an unbelievably generous instinctive reaction from Sonny Bill has made him a media darling and has made the kid a celebrity. He's making the headlines again now for meeting up again with SBW during the week. In today's "anything to get my fifteen minutes of fame" society, it's going to be interesting to see if we get some copycats.

Because he's a stuck-up little twit who had to stand there and endure opposition fans celebrating around him...and he hated it.

I can't stand the man and I found it funny.
