I dont think Rockliff was ever interested in Port. Rockliff said previously he would do what is best for his family . His wife is a Queenslander and he is Victorian. They just had a baby. They have no family in Adelaide. He was never going to Port.

Yeah but rumours were Port at one stage were offering the most money...so you could argue taking that deal would be the best for his family, despite preferring not having to move to SA.

If it's true that we've matched Port's offer, then you'd think the Victorian ties would make us his selection...sounds like we're confident.
