McKay - yet to play seniors regularly
Kerr - yet to play seniors at all
Charlie - may be used more in the midfield
JSOS - is not a KPF
BSOS - isn't even at the club

Thankyou Captain Obvious! LOL
McKay has had an injury interrupted start to his career but showed a good skill set in the games he has played.
Kerr was progressing very well in the magoos according to Josh Fraser's weekly games reports before his first year was cut short by injury, so I can't understand why people have written him off after half a season!?
Charlie could be one of our all time great CHF's if we continue to recruit the right midfielders, as we have done in the past 2 years.
JSOS is a third tall type who applies modern style pressure and was never labeled by me as a number 1 forward prospect.
BSOS, worst case scenario, will only be 3 pre-seasons behind Schache when he is drafted this time next year. I would think that between Charlie, McKay and Kerr along with resting ruckmen that we will have a bit of cover in place already by that time to offer cover for BSOS for a couple of seasons while he establishes himself.
To get Schache, we are going to need to give up at least one pick and possibly also a player.
The picks and even any possible trading of players could be better used to recruit quality midfielders.

We'll make them an offer they can't refuse.

For a sec, thought that was Jezza.

If the Saints want #3 and are prepared to give us #7 & #8 back in return, I'd be asking "where do I sign".

We’d need to give them something back to balance the deal.

But if this was to happen, I wouldn’t mind Kennedy and another player for pick 8, and then use 7 in the draft for another midfielder.

Once were all aware and informed of the exceptional tall talent available next year, Lynch will be hardly mentioned by the bottom 5 clubs.
There's prodigious talent availabled for bottom 5 or 6 teams, a little more patience. Go Baggers
It would be funny if Carlton drafted one of the King twins and North Melbourne, the other. ;)

I would not give up more than a mid to late 2nd rounder for Kennedy a pick13 in draft year , uncontracted and has nominated CFC.

Potential Carlton Recruits (their likelihood /10) . . .

Matt Kennedy 10
Devon Smith 6
Adam Saad 6
Darcy Lang 4
Josh Schache 7
Tom Lynch 2

Remaining with Carlton (likelihood /10)

Bryce Gibbs 9
Rhys Palmer 1
Blaine Boekhorst 3
Pick 3 6

Are you suggesting that 7/10 times we end up with Schache in this situation? If so that's very likely we end up with him, same with Saad and Smith

I'm really saddened by the idea that people are okay with a bottom 5 finish next year because the draft is supposedly stronger. When we do all this accumulation of talent, we have to hold on to it and you don't just flick a switch for it to come together.

I would suggest that another bottom 4/5 finish for the third year in a row, Bolton will actually have some tough questions to answer, even though we are rebuilding and adding talent to the list. It does seem quite strange to hear people say exactly what you have said. I don't understand it. I think we very much need to see a move up the ladder, outside of the bottom five and more wins.

don't agree, Bolton (and SOS) inherited a list in a parlous state. If it were a house it would have been condemned. Another year of building the right foundations, if necessary, then rapid progress 2019 and beyond.

Pick 3 has an 87% chance of being a 150 game player (from 2000-2015 drafts).

Pick 7 had a 60% chance of being a 150 game player, and pick 8 has a 47% chance.

Interesting how points wise, you need to add in a pick 19ish to pick 3 to equal it out. And yet with those odds, you'd think twice about doing a straight swap, 3 for 7 and 8 alone. This whole points thing can be very misleading.

lol! its entertaining to watch some of todays youth think they are relevant

Funny that at 44 I'm feeling todays youth are pushing the relevance of youth faster than I remember ... where is my onion belt again?
