i had question marks over saad's hamstrings. you can pencil him in for 1 or 2 3+week hammies during a year. an exciting player though, no doubt.
SOS seems to have a history of low-balling (ie, habit of coming in well under TPP and happy to pay out contracts to delist), which is kind of backwards to how many teams go about it - sell the success for a lower contract price. with that in mind it's no surprise that a. players don't particularly gravitate toward us and b. SOS's modus operandi is picking up players starved of opportunity rather than other team's first 22 players - he's gunning for players who are happy to take our lower contracts for a chance to get on the park.

Wonder if Tomlinson potentially going to Saint Kilda could have an affect on us, say GWS get their hands on 7 could we potentially look at a deal of downgrading 3 to 7, Kennedy and a late second rounder? In the same mould of the McCarthy trade to Freo.

Even a future second.

Fogary and Brayshaw would be available at 7.

It effectively turns 3 into Kennedy and [Brayshaw/ Fogarty?] and gets us extra points next year (when we are going to have to deal with delisting a lot of older players (Thomas, Rowe, Simpson, White, ASOS etc) and will have a few list spots to fill, plus extra points for a possible F/S in BSOS to draft.

Can't release customers name for privacy reasons but their nephew is a 'big name player' who has a contract from his current club in front of him but he wants to come to us so he isn't even negotiating on that and is only talking to us at this stage.

Hmmm we'll see. No doubt a shrewd operator but questionable character. Although i guess i had the same reservations about Triggy when he came on board. This just seems eerily like the 'axing Ratten because Malthouse became gettable' scenario. Anyway i guess time will tell.
