Just addressing some of the rumours.

Libba and Wallis - might be in minority but they are two very solid midfielders. Could do much much worse.
Setterfield - little to go on, but was very highly rated and that’s good enough for me to take a chance.
Shiel - would absolutely love. Think he is very underrated on here and IS the answer, but that’s IMHO.
Fasolo - have heard he’s a given. Can play but has baggage. If cheap, solid enough risk.
Scrimshaw - Like Setterfield. Highly rated and I wanted him in his draft. Can play on-ball or either end. Worthy.

MM - a mid first is fair. If no Shiel, I’d love to snaffle Crouch and would consider #1 in a trade for both plus some. ADE said to be manic on Lukosius. SOS could get a huge return if MM nominates us.

Casboult - deserves our help to trade him somewhere he likes, would be nice to include in trade for Scrimshaw. Or, if RICH - Townsend or Miles or Markov would suffice.

With the whole McGovern was lied to shtick....

Surely the Crows could turn around and say 'We told Mitch we has no more money, and that was true but then we traded out Lever and that freed up the money for Gibbs'. It would be BS, but it would be hard to disprove.

MM probably has reason to be pissed off with Adelaide, but I doubt he has real cause to break his contract.

Where there's a will, there's a way, but it'd be dirty and messy and probably won't happen. The whole 'Collective Minds' fiasco is the easiest 'get out of jail free' card. The fact that the players where involved in a program (at the behest of the club) run by people who weren't even qualified is bound to be grounds for some sort of litigation. Incidentally, I'm running a preseason camp at my place in January if any AFL clubs are interested. I'm not really qualified but it'll be great. I got some ideas from the army, and watching some Hell's Kitchen episodes. Bring a bag full of dollars.

It's looking spicy af with Adelaide again this year thought I'd get in amongst it.

Saw that we may be getting the PP as pick no. 2 and posters suggested that we'd trade it to Adelaide to help them get Lukosius. Why wouldn't we just laugh all our way to the draft and take Walsh and Lukosius?

A Murphy, Scully or Kreuzer is a good return for a draft pick, even pick one. Would love to compare the pick one successes versus a lower pick like 7. Think you’d find the 7 would be well behind.

Not sure if it has already been discussed, but earlier today in a group on fb (I know, I know, most of them are complete BS) a mad pies supporter (who apparently has good mail) suggested that shiel would ask for a trade and nominate us after finals are over? Fb group is the real afl alliance, probs got no substance but interesting nonetheless. Anyone know if there could be any truth to it? Or is it likely just speculation? Bloke seemed pretty certain of it, defending himself in the comments. Would be fantastic if true
