Setterfield deal will now be very difficult. They'll ask for our 2019 1st with possibly a 2018 2nd rounder coming back our way. I reckon our intention will be our 2019 2nd + Crows 2019 2nd.

Need to look at the trade period as a whole. Not just individual deals. If we have paid a little more for a player you can bet it was done with something else in mind.

I think we will wait on the Setterfield trade in case we can use next year's first for something bigger. Can't trade the future 1st and 2nd.

Don’t shoot me for this but as hard as it is to say it, I don’t mind the fasolo pick up. Low risk but potential massive gains!! Boy can play if we get him right!

I’d also now look at libba, once again same as above.

McGovern is a gun. It basically values him around pick 10 (if you rate McAdam). Quite reasonable when you consider he’s a perfect modern 3rd forward with his contested marking and pressure. He’s also versatile enough to go back if need be. He’s also 23 and entering the prime of his career. He’s also contracted.

The good teams identify players they want and get them at a reasonable price. That’s what has happened here. He will be great.

And most importantly, we are also still getting Sam Walsh.

Pick 10 for McGovern when Shiel will be traded for pick 9 and steak knives.. not a great deal at all in my opinion.. We desperately need mids and a small lock down defender.

Agreed, our two second rounders and McAdam is too much.

Sam Maclure said Adelaide valued McGovern between pick 10 and 15, well 25 and Brisbane’s third rounder points wise is between pick 14 and 15, which if you add in McAdam is about right for a guy with two years left on their contract. This would also leave us a second rounder this year for Setterfield.

By paying both second rounders, points wise we would be giving between pick 8 and 9, never mind throwing in McAdam on top. The first deal seems about right, the second deal is looking more like us being pushovers (May change depending on what we get back)
