.@thelistmanager "When I look at Sam Walsh I can't definitively say he's the best player in this draft... But he's the player that Carlton need.

I get the impression that Walsh might be another Ed Curnow, tom scully type. Good runner, dedicated, but does not have anything special to elevate to a superstar. And another poor kick in a poor kicking team.

imho we should take Lukosius. Same 20m sprint time, elite endurance, 195cm and a great kick.

Lukosius can play wing/forward to start. To have two great running forwards will stretch any zone. If Charlie cops an injury we have a backup.

Harry will likely become a ruckman. McGovern can develop into Jeremy in defence.

That's why if Gold Coast come knocking with picks 3 & 6 then you take it and run.

Smith + Rozee everyday of the week.

Question;
Wouldn’t we need the AFL to sign off any trade involving our first next year? Due to that we have already traded other future picks??

Kind of how I feel about him. Reckon he'll have a big first year, and then incrementally improve until he's a Top 30 midfielder, but wont get above that.

Reckon Smith has far more potential to be an elite, gamebreaking midfielder and will likely have a big first year as well.

I think the moment has passed, and given what's transpiring at the moment it might be for the best, but two Top 5 picks would have been far better.

So in order to take Lukosius we should play several players out of position and pretend it's a good idea? Pass.

Could be interesting if GWS have bought into the Carlton will be last or near last next year. You wouldn't trade pick 1 for pick 9 and pick 9+ this year and may not do that deal next year, especially if you are GWS.

Here I was bemoaning the fact that we should have done more this trade period, and then next minute there are reports that SOS is still chasing Shiel and could go down to the last minute, and suddenly I’m like ‘ffs, not another year where we go down to the last 2min’.

Can’t make up my mind lol

Are you high?

Isn't this the guy who broke the news that Sheil had nominated *Essendon?

I don’t get what these guys have to gain by getting in on the media drama. If they wanted clout, the smart thing to do would be back the most likely event (Shiel goes to *). The media is probably grandstanding for the sake of ratings. These guys won’t benefit from that and will look stupid driving the less likely narrative.

Smells fishy AF.
