I think it'd be more likely that pick 1 will be traded down for multiple firsts, with one of those firsts being couple with next year's first for Shiel. Would probably get a second rounder back from GWS too in such a trade.

It's an interesting debate really... I'm in the camp that we really need immediate support for Cripps with an already-made star, rather than another young midfielder which will be a gun in 4-5 years' time (which would still be great).

Cripps doesn't have a hell of a lot of support around him... We needed to get a gun 25yo-ish midfielder this trade period IMO.

Hopefully we can unearth a Kelly-type late in the draft.
