Meanwhile Saints get Hannerbury for peanuts
Has been good, may be on a permanent decline. Does not look like he is moving freely at all during the year. May be a good move by the Swans

How the mighty have fallen.
Hannebery worth a high first rounder a few years ago, basically a non-event today.

That's what happens when your footy club destroys your body.

There wont be many Swans players from this era who are too pleased with them post-retirement.

Yeah the swans would know most about the state his body is in and his likelihood of returning to top form. That they are willing to give him away for so little speaks volumes.

ANDRE's PRESS RELEASE
Could all those Carlton supporters having a whinge about not having brought in any mature agers please read and consider:
  • We missed out on the main A grade target - not many of those to be had each year - we tried
  • We got Fasolo as a UFA in the FA window - 26yo - tick
  • We traded for McGovern during opening days of trade week - 23yo - tick
  • We are in negotiations for Setterfield - OK only 20 but still better than a skinny 18yo - half tick
  • So basically 2fwds and a mid
  • Trade period is only half over, and maybe the reason we haven't heard anything is that the ones who provide reasonable to good rumours got lambasted by some knobs - probably the same ones having a whinge about no mature agers
  • A lot of clubs won't delist mature players until further list lodgements closer to draft - may be one or 2 there we can use. An example is Newman from Sydney, can play a bit and worth a spot for us and likely to be DFA as Sydney can't give him away
  • The Drafts haven't happened, we can pick older players with later picks, same as the Rookie Draft, where would could take H Goddard, M Grigg, Gibbons or any other state leaguer Agresta has identified (not that I want any of those)
POint being, wait until we're done before going the whinge, don't make the 8th wonder of the world come over there and dish out a 500lb body slam!!
McGov as of yesterday is 24yo

Hi. Thought I’d just pop back in to calm the farm. Reliably informed that Setterfield will get done and won’t involve our future first
Appreciate, also seems the media is backing us on this (future 2nd)... probably feel with talks of Scully, Wingard etc going to Hawthorn for a bag of peanuts can't expect Carlton to pay overs for unproven injured talent.

So who are you going to throw in the middle if Cripps gets hurt?

Garlett, Pickett, Cuningham, Polson?

Give me a break!!!!
No, I have been advocating that we go recruit a B Grade midfielder, Tyson, Dunstan, Ken, VanDenBurg Etc not someone who is no longer up to AFL standard. Have been saying we are 4 mids short on our list for some time (5 if you include Graham to be delisted)

Good news. No way should we be paying a future first for Setterfield. Either a combination of picks or future second is more than enough.

Everyone knows their salary cap issues, this is all posturing from them.
