Has anyone seen before B70 + Schmurf (and others) be so firm on a looming trade, and then it not happening?

I can't recall, so it's probably happening
I do not recall so many itk's being so confident all at the same time. Something significant definitely happened over the weekend.

My only concern though is that we're still so far out from the FA period that there's so much opportunity for things to change. I'd be confident if they were saying these things a week out from the FA period. Until then though I'll not commit to the idea.

Perhaps the Cogs to Blues talk has been sent out by the Hawks as a smoke screen to cover his actual move there. His meeting with Clarko could have been a “yeah I’m coming to you guys” from Cogs and a “great now let’s keep a lid on it but we’re gonna be putting it out there that you’re more keen on the blues. So the heat stays off our deal” from Clarko.

Now where’s my tin foil hat....

**** the Swans. So they'll give away players for bags of chips elsewhere but when it comes to us...
We got Newman cheap as chips. Let’s be grateful about that and if we miss on Papley this year then we will get him cheaper next year when out of contract. Sam Gray will do for the short term.

How are they equivalent in any way?

On the scale of importance to the club, if (and I know it’s more than likely not to be case) Doc was to return to that stellar form, he would be more important than Cogs. Not that we’d ever get the choice, but I wouldn’t be too despondent if we missed out on Cogs provided Doc returns.

Life's very good. Just passing on info when I get it for the True Carlton supporters. :thumbsu:
