ITK posters saying likely to stay. Given their strike rates I would take that coniglio is not coming

ITKs are saying slightly different things, maybe the majority are saying he’ll stay - and that may well be the case. I think that only two or three people (Coniglio included) would 100% know.

You just need to look at the smoothness Shiel offers Essendon when he has the ball and that’s what Coniglio will bring to us. Walsh will also be similar in terms of being able to create space through traffic. We haven’t had someone like that since Judd. Cripps is a different calibre.
I like the way you said 'will bring to us'.
Gonna hold on to that for now. Royal Blue got a new track for that E.P yet?

Recently, the film release of “Crouching Crow, Hidden Magpie“ due out in September, was thrown into turmoil- after one third of the cast went out on a wing and “pulled out”. Fortunately, if sad news of the main star pulling out is true, it opens up the possibility of an opening night function sure to create a ruckus. The event, at the ‘G would then controversially feature rabbit terrine as well as Victorian grapes in South Aussie wines.

Whoah!!!
That is quite the gala.
Flashlites popping. :carlton::thumbsu:

I watched a great little short called 'My coaches's cousin.' There are two guys looking at a thoroughbred called 'Dun Deal'. Funny thing though, this other guy walks in and suddenly they say the racer isn't called 'Dun Deal' after all. They changed it's name to 'Penumbra Conundrum'.
Go figure! Great little flick. Still thinking about it.

Seemed accurate first half season then went pretty ordinary in the second half.

Can we hire Casboult as his kicking coach?

Maybe once Levi stops hogging all of Sav Rocco’s time he can sort out Harry.

Big H is a jet and anyone suggesting he be traded needs to change their meds.

I know this is a discussion forum where everyone can voice their opinion, but seriously it shocks me how illogical some people's opinions are...really glad these people don't have anything to do with our list management.

Trading McKay, one of the most promising young KPF's in the competition, is a real doozy.
As is thinking recruiting guys like Puopolo/Menzel/Dickson is a good idea.
Just for clarification, Dickson, Poppy etc. are definitely NOT my first choices for recruits during the off season, but if push comes to shove and we miss out on Papley, Tippa, Gray, Martin etc. we might have to recruit someone like that on a one year deal while Owies and whatever small forwards we presumably draft develop/while we wait for next off season to recruit some actual small forward talent.

I'd rather have Dickson plugging into that forward pocket for one year than have another year of stuffing up Paddy Dow's development by shoving him in there when he could be working on his mid craft in the 2's.

Like I said, it's a privilege to play AFL, not a right. If you know the rules when you start playing and you don't like it, play something else.

AFL is a business, make no mistake. Even playing field is the goal in all sport...

You talk about cultural differences, have you been to the US lately???
No, it is not. It is a job like any other; a job with difficult entry requirements, and with hard to achieve (for most of the population) KPI's, but it is still a job. Imposing the kind of thing you're suggesting would run foul of a number of our restraint of trade laws, which we have in place to restrict the power of organisations over individuals.

You could not put such a regime into play here, our workplace law is dramatically different, and our PA has a good deal more power, and that's leaving aside the dubious fairness of a system which can spit you to any part of the country you live in and expect you to make arrangements or sit out for 5 years.

Grabbing Coniglio could easily elevate them back to top 4-6 contention .
Their a destination club for the better players as the oldies filter out they will be replaced by quality from other clubs they've been doing it for years .
For all the talent we have we've achieved nothing and aren't a patch on the well drilled and coached Hawthorn for team discipline and hardness .
If I'm Coniglio and leaving GWS with a choice between Carlton and Hawthorn its Hawthorn easily .
The wins in the second half have been great but the West Coast Richmond and Geelong games show we are still miles off it yet .
I agree with you but if the Hawks were to get Cogs you would think they would have to be without a couple of decent players who helped them get the win yesterday to accommodate Cogs along with Patton?
These guys wont be playing for peanuts.

As quite a few have said already, we desperately another A grade midfielder and a skilled , attacking and intelligent small forward
Just look at the Lions Neale and Cameron, there’s our solution simple, an aggressive trade period I mean seriously good remuneration top priority , if we want talent it does not come by easily, it had its price.

Love kreuzer around the ground but his jumping looks shot, think we need a fast track ruck ASAP

Ergo why Darcy Cameron is firmly in the sights. Flip one year deal, Lobbe out.

It’s a job?

Seriously...

So if they don’t play AFL they can’t play any other footy or code?????

The least fun internet game is spot the boss.

You can always tell a boss by how little they care for the concepts of work, sacrifice and fairness.

Bosses do however love winning, skirting the rules and getting one over a hated rival.
