We gave 11 for McLean. Anything is nothing!

And Melbourne picked Gysberts which they hailed the next superstar. Good times all round.

Had a short conversation with an acquaintance today, who's well-connected with some of the recruiters who attend U18 games. He wouldn't tell me much, but he told me that if Carlton get the #1 pick this AFL draft, it's 100% between Weitering and Schache, and as of right now, Schache is a slight favourite.

SOS, you cunning ******* :D:thumbsu:

"Bolton and interim Carlton coach John Barker remain firm favourites to get the job at the Blues, who have remained steadfast in their commitment to naming a coach by the end of August and will name that person by the end of next week"..."Collingwood assistant Scott Burns also interviewed impressively with the Blues and is another name in the mix for one of three coaching gigs now going, with a vacancy also at Adelaide.
Barker is not expected to feature on Adelaide’s radar but Bolton is well known to the Crows after interviewing for the senior role last year before the late Phillip Walsh became a surprise appointment"

He must have been a covert Collingwood infiltration project. He has arguably caused more pain on this club than any other employee.
As opposed to Malthouse and Daisy who have been anything but covert :(:p

Wonder if Barker would be asked to stay??? If Bolton is announced this week and released from Hawthorn as expected wonder if the club will ask Barker to finish off as head coach for the remainder of the season with Bolton sitting beside him in the box analysing and taking notes (Tania Hird being asked to join on as part of this deal).
We wouldnt be signing Bolton until October. He would stay with Hawthorn until the end of the finals series.

Gee Jamo came off well there. Accepts his chances of success are probably gone but genuinely looking forward to helping Cripps, Buckley and Docherty become part of a successful Carlton side in the future.
Maybe Jamo in his last couple of years at the club could start being a player/assistant coach and help develop the young defenders with their positioning and stuff.
