Some people who know the inner sanctum going ons at the club said Sam Power who currently works at the club would be a good fit for McKay's role if he is moved on (fingers crossed).

Wiley is our current coaching director, no? I do like him...up to him whether he stays though IMO

It's similar to the way Dramoth was left embarrassed by John Barker this year after years of baseless slander. Very few people on BigFooty have any idea what an assistant coach is doing or how good they are.
I still stand by my assertions that he isnt an assistant coaches arseh*le... however, he does have it in him to make a very good senior coach.

I haven't been left embarrassed by anything I said.

Yup, but MWNN is potting him as a director of coaching, is he not?
Yeah what he's doing at Tulla at the moment is solely Director of Coaching style. Overseeing the Football Department. Not Sport Science at all.

After a couple of recent highs, getting Craig would be a seriously uninteresting/uninspiring get. Maybe a decade ago, but not now.

Wasn't Craig being sized up for a role that revolved around sports science and high performance training?

We should be hitting up the AIS for these roles, or even look internationally.

Really? We should all jump on to Neil Craig because he's had a couple of good results years ago coaching Adelaide?

Since then he's been around when the players revolted in Adelaide, Melbourne and judging by their performances Essendon as well.

I'm not saying that he is responsible for these outcomes but he sure as hell can't claim to have prevented them. High risk - Not suitable!

John Barker isn't responsible for Micks results, went ok i reckon.

I thought I heard that Wiley was considering a move back to WA for a senior coaching role in the WAFL.

Really? A 27y.o. mid.

Sounds a bit odd and maybe not quite befitting of a re-build profile.
Palmer has been playing half forward and sneaking a heap of goals of late. Very similar to how Armfield is for us...but still, agree it doesn't go with what we're aiming for.

I reckon I've heard us linked with about 10 GWS player...I wonder why...

Do we know if SOS is going to continue with the previous recruiting style of former top draft picks under 23?

I'd personally prefer the Blues to go after Worsfold as their Director of Coaching.

Premiership coach. Wrote the coaches course for the AFL. Track record of success wherever he's been.

Were*

I just don't think Craig's done a good job at all. Our selections, gameplan, all of it has just been a shambles this year. Hirdy wasn't a great coach, however this year it's seemed 1000 times worse. The difference between 2011 to 2013, and this year? Craig overseeing and being in charge of everything. It's seemed as if there's been very little coherence between different areas of the coaching team.

Hell the only coach earning his money this year is Mark Neeld, he's in charge of development. He's been great.

You guys were going OK until WADA took the wind out your sails.

WADA doesn't justify the bizarre selections and atrocious gameplan though. There were major issues you couldn't lay at the feet of WADA or the players.
