Why would we have interest in Melksham? He is an average midfielder at best..

I read an article that said he's either staying at Essendon or heading to the Dees. Apparently he has a strong relationship with Simon Goodwin who previously spent some time as an assistant at the Bombers. Really don't think we would hold any interest in Melsham to be honest. I wouldn't worry too much!

If we trade for Carlisle that leaves the silver bullet in the gun in regards to the PSD, to perhaps get an even higher profile young footballer. As much as I'd like to take him off Essendon for nothing you just never know, something harder to obtain may be around the corner.

Can't see how the AFL would take pick one away from us, that breaks all their rules. Brisbane are as much entitled to a priority pick as us. We finished last and do not warrant any form of punishment by having the draft pick downgraded. I can only see them screwing us over on the Kreuzer and deeming him band 2. Here's hoping that Kreuzer gets a contract that basically forces the AFL to follow their own rules. If everyone plays by the rules, we will get picks one and two. If that doesn't happen then we need to appeal things in any way shape or form.

I would put good money on the AFL's secret free agency formula not actually existing which may have legal implications for the AFL.

Melksham doesn't fit our criteria, surely we have no interest.

Not a fan of Francis?

Haven't seen him live and even though Parish didn't have a great game yesterday, some of the stuff he did was high-quality AFL standard.

Given he's had plenty of 30+ possession games with those tools, the kid should be a star.

I'd be very happy with Parish along with Weitering.

There's something about clean hands and peripheral vision, I like. This guys reflexes are lightning.
Yeah I like Parish as well. Was brilliant as a bottom ager last year. Haven't seen him this year.

I only get to the finals HBF and of course only here in Melbourne.

Weitering has been a clear standout for me. Had hesitations in the idea of picking up a back-man with #1 or #2 but no hesitation any more.
None of the other back-men have really impressed me yet......Not Coughlan......Not even Collins. Talls take time I know, but there's just something.........

I think Collins could go top 15 though. Doesn't do much wrong.

I liked the way he read the ball and even beat Schache on more than one occasion.....it's what happened thereafter that didn't really impress.

Seems a little rigid to me and a little slow in execution. I guess one game doesn't tell the whole story :)

Make if this what you will but the Champion Data guys *really* like Francis. A lot. According to their U-18 watchers, he has the capacity to play as a Goddard-like utility. Back when Carlton were sitting in 16th (oh, the heady days) they suggested he would be a great fit for us (assuming W and S went to BRL and GCS, respectively). Those CD guys like numbers, so I like them.

Must have been another Matty. Probably the most dangerous I have seen it in terms of a carding mob. I managed to get away with a flesh wound warning. One poster suggested Richmond needed bricklayers and builders over boutique and cafe workers because Italy had never won any sort of war/conquest in the history of forever. I left him a link to The Roman Empire Wiki site and fled.

I was on the Tigers board...copped a day for highlighting how soft and inept their a Captain was.
Not really fair imo as I was only stating a fact!:D

He and Weitering work well together and if we managed to get him mid first round we'd have the cornerstone of our defence done for 10-12 years.

I've seen him a couple of times on the tele... and I think that I said in the 2015 AFL draft thread that skill wise, he reminded me a lot of Murphy with the ability to hunt the ball. If we can get pick 9 or 10 for Henderson, then in my mind, it would be a toss up between Parish or Curnow if they were both still available.
