I spoke to the AFL and apparently Carlton would have to pay compensation if I went to another club...
There’s a few clubs fighting for you…

You have him
Nah, you have him :p

He is implying TCP doesn't get good mail.
when tcp suggested paddy was offered a 2-3 year deal at carlton (think that was what he meant) the post received 115 likes..........

So you think Fisher deal will get done soon for not much (cheap)? Appreciate the info but how does that align with the club isn't in a rush to deal unless we benefit?

I think at the end of the day, we will take whatever future pick is on offer because we need the points. Yeah, Fisher is contracted but we're not falling over ourselves to say we want to keep him. Maybe we lose the opening gambit on this one?

Oh awesome, more petty sniping of people posting mail...

Up there with the childish laugh reactions that seem to be becoming more commonplace.

We challenge this behaviour.

If laugh emoji trolling is happening, please report it.

May have already been cleaned up, but it has definitely been evident in the Bluemour Only thread of late.

Those are a little tougher. Usually a poster is posting a rumour from another poster, so then we determine whether they are trolling that poster or the original poster or whether they genuinely find a rumour humorous.

Good post.
One interesting point is Twomey has mentioned a couple of times that he thinks Curtin might slide a little bit. I take this to mean if Eagles keep pick 1 they'll take Reid, and then probably North and also Hawthorn and Dogs aren't so interested in him.

I guess it could play out a number of ways.
But agree with your main point, would hate to trade big to get #8 and end up with Sanders.

What about Curtain?

Moving up to 8 could also see us "reach" for a player who we really like that won't get to us at 17, if the player we hope slides to 8 gets picked up early.

I'll throw Wilson and Leake in here as the kinds of names that could refer to.

If we expect them to go in the early/mid teens, but we really want one, Geelong's pick may simply represent the best/only opportunity to get in before other clubs take them.

9 - Essendon - unlikely to want to slide back
10 - Adelaide - unlikely to want to slide back
11 - Gold Coast - matching academy bid
12 - Sydney - unlikely to want to slide back
13 - St Kilda - unlikely to want to slide back
14 - Melbourne - unlikely to want to slide back
15 - North - maybe an option in the Fisher trade somehow?
16 - GWS - one spot unlikely to make a difference

If we reckon Sydney, St Kilda or Melbourne are sniffing around the player(s) we hope last to us, then getting ahead of them becomes the objective.

Why would GC keep 11?

Surely they trade it.

Sanders is a worthy player, just not a position of need for us. He'd replace Dow to an extent. Endurance athlete, good leap, agile. He has qualities and could slot into our midfield nicely in a couple of years. Maybe we go best available and fill in the gaps through trades and free agency. It's not like anybody we take in the draft is expected to fill one of our holes right away.

Do you mean if Curtin is left at #8?
Unlikely, but yeah, he'd be a great get for us.

If Melb still have their pick i wonder if they go Caddy. Nth will play safe and go with VIC kids, Dogs doubt they go tall, they have too many key position players, Reid will be pick 1.

Its not to unlikely.
