You can never be sure on how a mid table team will go the following year. Who would have thought St Kilda and GWS would go so well and Freo would fall so badly.

I missed Croft nominating as F/S, trade makes much more sense now.
A couple of people have mentioned Caddy as someone who would make sense, I need to watch some footage of him cos I don't see how he fits tbh

similar to curnow, 3rd tall height but has a good tank, nice acceleration and can do some midfield minutes. could either be projected to be a FF, 3rd tall or that de goey/petracca/dusty power mid.
think while cripps is in his prime it's the jack martin/jack silvagni role but could be a big goal kicking mid for our next generation too.

The compensation and assistance package system, and the fact Norf now have so many picks in the first round is an absolute farcical joke!

Yep, we sank to the depths and everyone said the problem was of our making and we had to fight our own way out. The most we got was access to 2 state league players which we traded for picks in the 30s and 40s IIRC.
North are absolutely stacked with young guns. They didn't need more. They just needed time.

Even our priority pick was adjusted to be end of first round imsc.
Yeah, our assistance equated to 2 x 3rd round picks.

North atm are overwhelmingly rich with their haul of picks - whilst most other teams are struggling to squeeze a bit here and there via tough trading - go figure!
Yes - and remembered being lectured to by either Snake Baker or Rod Stoker from North board about how it was all our own fault and should look to Norf about how to build a list.

Following years 1st round pick would come into play at the next trade period
Hollands will get to Carlton for SFA due to GC needing enough lost spots to go to the draft with all their picks otherwise they’re breaking AFL rules using so many late picks for top 10 players.
Kudos for having a handle on reality around here
