Am I reading too much into the OP or does this expand out further than Fish's comments?
ie.
100% inside beef = Inside mid
Hollandaise sauce = Hollands
and a silky outside bun = Outside Mid with Silky skills
& Draft Beer - Pick 8

Why would Geelong trade pick 8 for anything we have?
I wouldn’t do it if I was them either because I don’t see much value outside of the top 12 but one reason I can think of for the Cats is that their next pick is 87 so they might want a couple of higher picks if they have a few spots to fill.

TBH I'm interested to see what Austin can do with picks 22 & 26 if they aren't swapped/traded.

They feel bad about Mansfield, O'Reilly, Lang and Smetds?
About time, how sweet revenge will be.

He’ll choose wisely, has a good feel for talent all selections mid 20s to mid 30 whilst not exceptional, will be solid footballers.
Durdin , Motlop , Cowan & Binns.
Thing is whomever he selects picks 22 /26 will they become better footballers than say Fisher or Dow? I’d take a risk, Caddy & Collard would great addition and if we’re lucky with Hollands E too it would be a great outcome.

I'm not a close draft watcher so can't comment on Caddy's quality.

But I'm stoked the focus is on getting high quality natural forwards.

While our forward line improved significantly as the year went on, it is pretty workman like. Lots of honest triers but lacking absolute class and finishing.

Harry and Charlie are elite (when Harry has his kicking boots on)
Martin has class and toughness
Motlop is a great finisher but still has more development. I rate him.
Durdin has talent but doesn't get enough of the ball
Cuningham drifted as the season went on but I think he is a better mid.
Cottrell, Owies and Fogarty are C grade. They add effort and energy.

We definitely could use more x factor talent up there.

A dynamic 3rd tall is certainly a need, but we have all the mechanisms on the list already

Harry partnered with any of TDK, Lemmey, HOK

Charlie plays the 3rd tall

I'd focus on a Jack Martin type, one that could spend time in the middle, although in this draft they are scarce in terms of the full package

Duursma, Tholstrup, Edwards, Wilson, Moir
Moir continues to slide it seems, he looks like he will be there around our picks.

Is he a similar player to Fritsch? Do you think we would be interested? He does seem to fill a need

Top 6 contender end of last year

I did hear that he was struggling with a hip injury this year, not sure how bad it was and whether that's the main reason for his output this year

You said 'If looking at a smaller forward I'd prefer O'Driscoll'... Who plays as a wing and has no proven ability as a full time small forward. Delean in comparison has played forward nearly his entire junior career and has consistently been a prolific goal scorer throughout.

The bolded are contradictory to one another. Yes, there is more to a small forwards game than just kicking goals, but if he consistently hits the scoreboard as a goal sneak that means he's doing the core of his job consistently. If Owies kicked 50 goals in a season none of us would care if he was averaging 5 disposals a game, his main role in the team is to apply pressure and bob up for a goal or two making the most of his limited opportunities. Disposals up the ground, overall score involvements and turning the ball over via pressure are areas for Delean to improve upon but playing as a forward pocket, he's almost as consistent as they come
Any similarities to Deleans profile and Gryan Myers?

Everything Myers does at AFL level he did at the lower levels, he still went late, despite being a prolific goal kicker.

The reasons they would possibly do it is because they're looking to hit the trade table next year, and with the draft this year they could see themselves getting overs in a trade for pick 8. Which is also why they're probably holding out for more with the Esava trade, so they at least have a decent pick or two this year.

If there's any substance to the rumours, it may look something like picks 22 and 26 to GCS in exchange for Hollands and North's 2024 end of 1st round priority pick. Then trading our two future 1sts to Geelong for pick 8. There'd probably be a bit of shuffling of later picks, but you'd imagine that would be the base.

It gives GCS more points this year, Geelong draft capital next year for trades, and we get Hollands and pick 8.

Personally, I wouldn't do it - seems overs to me - but you could potentially see it playing out this way.

There is no doubting one thing this time of year, it’s the headache I get from your posts RB. Love them but flower if I could solve them.

And how is Sanders involved.
Well great, I 'm lost.
Is the recycled person good ol' J.R or am I off with the elves?
