Of all the weird named places in all the far-flung places of this bizarre but beautiful country, the one I find to be the worst is actually quite a simple one.
There's a place in the south of Perth called Cockburn.
They insist it's pronounced co-burn...

It is pronounced Coburn, I know people with that surname as well, copped a hell of a ribbing at school.

Scottish (Midlothian) and northern English: habitational name from a place in Berwickshire named Cockburn, from Old English cocc '****, rooster' (or the related byname Cocca) + burna 'stream' (see Bourne ). This surname is traditionally pronounced Coburn.

Yeah yeah... it'll always be Cockburn :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

i think we need a backup incase Charles/Harry are unavailable.
Apparently Membrey is gettable...would be a break glass in emergency type, but fits the "has played well against us criteria"

Would certainly stop him feasting most times he plays against us.

We’re into Elijah Hollands, brother of Dutchy

Son's of Ben Hollands.

Carlton is among the clubs with interest in prising former No.7 draft pick Elijah Hollands from Gold Coast.
Hollands, 21, is contracted to the Suns for 2024 but rival clubs believe he is gettable during the upcoming trade period.

Industry sources have indicated that the Blues are interested in acquiring Hollands, in doing so reuniting him with younger brother Ollie.

If we're going to help GC out with extra points we need to either bring our future first rounder forward, or trading Dow and/or Fisher to improve our hand first.

Dow to St Kilda for Pick 31.
Fisher to NM for Pick 39.
Picks 16 and 31 to GC for Pick 10 and Hollands (assuming GC send 4 to the Dogs for 10 and 17).

Pick 10 maybe gets us O'Sullivan.
Pick 39 gets us a slider (would DeLean or Moir slip that far back?)
Money saved on Fisher and Dow gets us a free agent (ie. Harmes or Gresham).

O'Sullivan - long term key defensive post sorted.
Hollands + Harmes/Gresham/whoever - short term half forward/mid options sorted.
Best available at 39, no idea what we get there.
