Sam Edmund just said on SEN that he believes it’s Geelong but Baz isn’t asking for big money so he said any club could fit him in and Baz is moving for football reasons not money.

If that’s true then I really hope Austin at least asks the question because he is exactly what we need plus we could offer Bulldogs better compensation than Geelong.

Also Barass requested a trade to Hawthorn and hawks are still in it so I find it interesting Baz hasn’t chosen a specific club yet.

got to ask the question and see if Bailey entertains the Blues. His run and carry in the middle is what we need.

would also ask the question on Houston.

Bailey Smith, hard running explosive midfielder who can accumalate and kick goals. And he's only 23??

WB should be asking for 2 first rounders.

They could ask, I wouldn't be paying it though.

Coming off an ACL and I don't think he's the player you're suggesting he is in that post. He's kicked 44 goals in 103 games. 10 goals in his last 36 games.

Bevo coached him like a moron across the past two years.

FWIW, an insider of an opposition team (and friend) said 2 weeks ago, 'Blues are done for the year, once you start announcing major off field changes before the season is finished, you know the cue is in the rack'. More comment last Friday, ' you'll get belted, too many changes, ridiculous bringing in Doc, great player but hasn't touched it in 6 months, that just smacks of desperation. That shows where your deficiencies are (no surprises there). You're too slow and without TDK in the midfield you look pedestrian, he is a monster in there, the biggest ruck rover we have seen! Re-build your midfield around him, find a goal kicking midfielder or wingman with pace. When Monday comes around, this is the conversation that will be happening in the list management meeting'.

General chat around players, 'there should be a couple in the 2's that need to come in next year, Moir is one (talent), another with burst speed/strength (doesn't know our list of kids). Need to bring in another B+ grader that can run/kick on the outside. If Trac is gettable, which he doesn't know, then get him. Smith from the dogs is another, he's an upgrade on Ollie, people forget his pace, kicking and motor, he would be cheaper than you think.
Smith and Trac would be a ludicrous trade period, but don't see that happening. If we can turn our future first and some player trades into one of them and maybe our 2nd round pick upgraded a bit, I'm interested.

Wilson there in the reserves, Hotton in the draft, maybe Philips from North if we're not keen on the bottom half of the top 30.

I really hope we're trying to shake Cumming loose from automatically going to Port as well.

Possibly. Could also be that he's not that good...

Throwing multiple first round picks is big overs in my opinion.

Geelong's reward for being the best team in the game for the last 35 years. Players want to go there for good reason.
If that's how fickle and feeble-minded the football industry is, then we need legitimate business operators in the building who have a strong history with regards to external communication to the general public.

No more of this dick swinging crap.

Trade period/ Finals we always end up coming out limp................

They want to go there because they usually like to surf or are country lads (Jez, Danger just to name 2).

It's the same reason the Sydney sides keep/attract players, lifestyle.

I live near Torquay and see their young guns pretty often at my local trivia

They just get treated like regular people in Geelong, I even had a player buy something off of me on marketplace

I don’t reckon you get that luxury in Melbourne, they always seem to be ducking their heads and avoiding eye contact

Saw Gawn outside the AFLW game at GMHBA as I was leaving Chin Chin’s and when I made eye contact he immediately looked at the floor, probably keen to avoid anyone noticing him or hassling him

Think there are a lot of intangibles that Geelong provides that are unique for a Victorian based club
