I'm aware, but I'm not sure he helps with our bigger defensive issues, namely run and disposal from defence.

He's quick, but his endurance base isn't going to outpoint Plowman or Williamson.

He would be earmarked to replace Jones I reckon. He's almost 31.

But also he could definitely play forward given Casboult has retired and our key forwards seem to often get injured.

Ross playing the victim card on Wednesday when the Fremantle Football Club had to issue an apology on his behalf is a bit much.

I don't agree. Half the problem with the a NDA that whilst everything gets brushed under the carpet, you can't defend yourself as you can't talk about it. Tricky position to be in.

Probably an unpopular view but IMHO there was a healthy dose of self interest in Lumumba & Goodes claims and attention seeking and the extent of their claims has been vehemently disputed by others.

Whereas Eddie has been brilliant in highlighting the issues, the emotional & personal cost and dragging people along with him at the same time - absolute super star.

i.e. I take Lumumba’s claims against Buckley with a grain of salt - rightly or wrongly.

Who would of thought, clubs, players, coaches accused of systematic racism, denying it. Not really a good luck to come and a support the claims, is it?

They did an indepedent review with the finding that Collingwood has issues regarding systemic racism. Whether Lumumba was right to point the finger at Buckley, he was put through a workplace culture that looked down on him, diminished him.

Having personally seen how Buckley will operate the second he gets permission, both on the field (as a spectator) and off the field, I don't doubt the claims. What I want to know is what he's learned from that if we're going to employ him.

Extremely cold on both he and Ross at the moment. Ross playing the victim card on Wednesday when the Fremantle Football Club had to issue an apology on his behalf is a bit much.

FWIW I’m leaning towards Brad Scott.

What he achieved with a very average NM list was ridiculous and his team was able to play smart & strategic football relevant to the strengths/weaknesses of their opponent.

Only need to see how they fell apart after Scott left to see how he maxed out the potential of that group.

I thought it was $85k plus 5k match payments for all rookies? Or is that just first year??

80k plus 4k

I highly doubt we're paying him above minimum chips considering we delisted and no one else showed interest.

Same, but it all depends whether he likes his plum corpo job now. I would think 99% we would reach out and enquire. Ball would be in his court.

If he has any interest in coaching again at all it would be remiss of the club not to have him in the mix, would love to see him get the job.

$80,000 of a rookies contract isn’t included in the salary cap, the $85,000 plus match payments references the minimum to be paid, but it seems you can pay them whatever you like.

For reference.

We do need to find a replacement for Jones now, so perhaps Riccardi, Ballenden types could be targeted, who can play both ends, so it would allow Jones to finish his career as a 3rd tall defender. I would then target a KPD in the draft

Not sure why, but I see Jones as having really good longevity, as he gets older, he can play tighter and have quite a few more years left IMO.

It's 80k in 2021 and 85k in 2022.

We aren't paying Kennedy above this lol. Very unlikely.

Those comments say a lot really.

Says it’s a typical media stupid ****ing question.

Like “can you guarantee that this vaccine is 100% safe and I will experience no side effects?” The answer has to be no.

It's a strong message to everyone that holds a position, perform to our expectations or you're out. I like it.
