As for Caroline Wilson’s exemplifying Collingwood as the bastion of due process and us as a basket case.

Collingwood have changed Presidents and Board Members as we have, they’ve removed their coach as we have, they’ve appointed a coach as we will.

Caroline Wilson is a pot stirrer with an axe to grind.

Exactly this! Eddie's face when Caro panned Carlton as "a mess" and pumped up the Pies in comparison. Not sure he agreed 🤣

Don't like the last sentence.
I'd think if we picked up cerra and Hewett, there'd be no place for Ed in the middle. I don't know a lot about Hewett, but by the sounds of that article he'd be a direct replacement for Ed.

The last sentence imo is where Ed would be training for. Whether he actually gets games would be up to our small forwards. With honey, Martin, fogarty, durdin, fish, Philp, owies and cunners at some point all vying for the mid/ forward spots, ideally next year is when Ed no longer has a spot in our best 22. We're not going to improve until we start pushing some players out.

The last sentence is a positive for mine.

MIDFIELDER Adam Cerra has started meeting with Melbourne-based clubs this week, with the 21-year-old expected to have preliminary conversations with at least two clubs in addition to Carlton.

Fremantle is not expected to chase Carlton pair Zac Fisher or Sam Petrevski-Seton as part of any trade.

Which is all the more insulting the club is trying to pull the wool over people's eyes with this 'process'.
Not sure what the issue is here. Even if they have identified Ross as the number 1 candidate and the only one the club talks to initially, he still has to meet with the club.

I have no issue with the club putting a panel together to sit down with Ross and decide if he is in fact the right person to lead the club forward. The way I see it the selection panel will either confirm what many (I assume Sayer's is one of them) that Ross is the man to lead us, or they will not. If not then hopefully they cast the net far and wide and drop the experience coach criteria.

Ross the Boss

Lets make a trade for Peter Ladhams to teach our ruck division the ropes.

If this panel bypass Ross the new coach will have been very impressive in the interview ..
Will be based on who they think is best fit for our list.
The assessment of our list may change the more it is considered.
Ross seems renowned for taking a largely mature list to the next step.
Maybe our list isn't as mature as some may think?
IE we might need someone with a more development biased skillset.

Hey Rosscoe, where'd that Dunstan rumour come from? I can see you've since removed it, which is curious.

I'd personally rather we play Matty Kennedy and run a fit Martin, Williams and Philp, Kemp, Dow through there with Crippa hopefully being the big dog again in 2022.

Dunstan might prefer a change of scenery and under someone like Ross might get a decent go if the form is there.

As a low cost, low risk option - I don't mind. Maybe a DFA or for a late pick.

just saw it on fox footy; he is a dfa.
